Additional size for axial piston variable pump A1VO

  •   High power density for compact installation spaces

  • Compact design for the tightest of installation spaces

  • Easy to install connections – positioned laterally or to the rear

  • Additional, space-optimized charge pump available on request

For tractors in the power class of between 37 and 66 kW (50-90 hp), manufacturers are focusing increasingly on high-performance, energy-efficient axial piston variable pumps as a technological alternative to fixed displacement units with external gear pumps. With the third size in the A1VO axial piston pump series – size 28 – Rexroth will offer an even finer gradation for application-oriented, easy to install solutions in these vehicles.

The new variant increases the scalability of the A1VO series, which Rexroth already offers in sizes 18 and 35. Despite the cube number of 28 ccm, the new size shares the same compact housing as the already existing size 18. It can therefore be compactly installed in the tightest of installation spaces. The connections, which are optionally positioned laterally or to the rear, are easily accessible and make installation particularly easy. On request, Rexroth will also factory-equip both variants NG 28 and NG 35 with an additional space-optimized charge pump for the shared oil circuit.

The expanded A1VO portfolio is primarily suitable for compact tractors with power outputs of up to 66 kW (90 hp). The variable pumps supply different functions of the working hydraulics, such as the hitch control or the steering. Even in hydrostatic fan drives of larger agricultural vehicles, the demand-controlled power generation ensures low fuel consumption and thus low exhaust emissions.

At a nominal pressure of 250 bar and a maximum pressure of 280 bar, the A1VO size 28 provides a high power density in a compact installation space and achieves an efficiency of nearly 90 percent. The high permissible self-priming speeds further complement this power comparison. Adjusting the cradle decouples the speed of the diesel engine from the pump power and produces the flow, according to the actual need. On the new size 28, the speed in continuous operation and at maximum swivel angle has been set to 3,200 rpm. As a result, the A1VO size 28 covers an even wider performance range.
