Part of the Ahern International division, which is owned by Don Ahern, the new operation provides nationwide sales, service and parts, but does not offer equipment rental. Led by General Manager, Bernhard Kahn, the Ahern Deutschland team provides localized, German language customer service, sales, parts and product support to customers in the rental industry and end user sectors.

Following the initial announcement in July, Ahern Deutschland is pleased to confirm that they have secured an 18,500sqm (200,000 sq. ft.) site based in Weyerbusch, Western Germany, which is on the outskirts of the Westerwald and Rhein-Sieg area, conveniently located between Cologne and Frankfurt. The site includes a 3,500sqm (38,000 sq. ft.) main building, as well as 15,000sqm (162,000 sq. ft.) of outdoor yard and logistics space. The facility is currently under refurbishment, with the first phases due for completion in October 2015.

The facility will hold a large stock of Snorkel and Xtreme equipment, as well as spare parts, ensuring fast availability for German customers. It will also be home to a training school, showroom, and a substantial workshop with paint capabilities.

Ahern Deutschland today also launches their new German-language website at www.aherndeutschland.de. Visitors to the website will be able to learn more about Ahern Deutschland’s services, as well as browse full specifications for all Snorkel and Xtreme products. Customers can request quotations directly through the site, and can also download technical manuals and service bulletins free of charge.

Visitors to Platformers’ Days can find our more about Ahern Deutschland on their stand, as well being able to enjoy some USA-style hospitality, including traditional American-style hotdogs. The Ahern Deutschland stand is also the launch pad for new Snorkel products, including the German debut of the new electric slab scissor range, and the global introduction of the upgraded Snorkel A38E electric articulated boom lift, and the Snorkel S3370RT compact rough terrain scissor lift.
