ALE perform world’s highest jack-up in Malaysia

ALE has jacked-up the Malikai Topside to 34.5m – the world’s highest-ever jack-up operation.

ALE used its Mega Jack to jack-up the Topside, weighing 17,264t including jacking beams. It took two days to execute the entire jack-up operation.

The next stage of the Malikai Project will involve skidding the Topside at a height of 38m.

The global heavylift specialists were awarded the contracts for the Malikai project on behalf of TMJV.  ALE was given the scope of weighing and transporting four unit hull blocks, living quarters and mega beams for the ‘superlift’ activities.
