As of March 1st, interested parties can sign up on www.blinto.de to provide machinery, utility vehicles and other professional equipment a prolonged life span at the hands of new owners. Blinto makes it possible for everyone within the industry of professional machinery to sell and buy used equipment on auction with the use of a smartphone or computer.
Blintos services also provides both sellers and buyers with the security and comfort of professionals conducting the business for them with the help of a professional, experienced and personable salesforce.
The online auction site Blinto.se has since their launch in 2018 taken huge steps on the Swedish market as a circular marketplace for professional products. The core market is in the contracting, agricultural, forestry and production industries and the company is now one of the fastest-growing auction site in Europe. The interest from markets outside of Sweden has been considerable and this will be Blintos first international launch.
”The service is scalable and makes an international launch possible to achieve in an effective way” says the CEO of Blinto Richard Nilsson. The back-end system that the auction site is built on is self-produced and also applicable to other markets. The safety of the system is one of the key elements and provides both sellers and buyers with secure ways to conduct business and payments.
Settling on Germany as the first of the international launches was majorly impacted by the fact that the DACH-region is the single largest market for machinery and professional products in all of Europe. Furthermore, it is a strategically good place to launch an additional branch, a central placement within Europe, in a country with a great export market - making transports both shorter and easier for surrounding countries. The Blinto Germany headquarters will be placed in the Düsseldorf region with auction brokers strategically placed all over the country.
The final piece that fell into place was the recruitment of Country Manager Matthias Ressel. “When the opportunity arose I saw the potential of launching Blinto in Germany. Both due to the exponential growth they have had in Sweden but also the fact that there is plenty of space in the DACH region to continue the success and growth”. With more than 10 years of experience from the Canadian world market leading company in the industry, he has vast knowledge of both machinery, the market and what it takes to conduct successful business in the region, making him an important asset to the company.
What the future holds in regards to further international launches CEO of Blinto, Richard Nilsson explains “Our ambition is to keep growing, but to do so in a controlled manner that lets us keep the quality high and customers satisfied”.
