BSA presents its new pump tanker “Profiline”

Compact and maneuverable single-axle tanker with the performance of a self-propelled tanker

The new pump tanker “Profiline” from BSA combines the performance of a self-propelled slurry tanker with the flexibility of a towed tanker: This balancing act is achieved by the new single-axle pump tankers of the Profiline series. The best of two worlds can also be found in the diverse range of available features. “Every option that we can offer, for instance for the Profi Tridem tankers, can now also be installed in the extremely compact and maneuverable Profiline single-axle tankers,” says BSA Managing Director Heinz Zießler. The tankers can be delivered with capacities of 10,000 - 14,000 liters.

Designed especially as a spreading tanker, a reduction of the bearing load was top priority in the development of this series. Most of the improvement comes from the low-pressure tires, which are available in dimensions up to 1050 /50 R32. The use of a tire pressure control system with a high-capacity EVO 6 compressor further increases the contact area to the technical maximum.

New sliding axle

The optional horizontally telescoping sliding axle makes an additional contribution. The axle can be extended from a track of 2.05 m to 3.45 m with the tanker’s hydraulics. The tanker then rolls outside of the track of the tractor, avoiding driving on the already compressed tractor track. In combination with the large wheel cutouts and the low center of gravity of the tanker, the sliding axle also provides for outstanding stability on difficult slopes.

Ingenious technology

In terms of pump technology, the familiar and powerful BSA eccentric screw pumps are available as mono pumps Ex200 and Ex350 or the duplex pump Duplex 200/120. Combined with a turbo filler and suction lines with 200 mm diameter, the full performance range of the pump can be utilized, and the tanker can be filled in minimal time.

The tankers can be equipped with the Kat.3 lifting system, situated very close to the tank, as well as distribution and incorporation equipment with a weight of up to 4 t and three- or four-point attachment. Multiple methods can be used here to ensure that the tongue load on the tractor is still sufficient for optimal traction: One is the two-chamber system, which holds slurry in the front chamber for as long as possible as the tank empties in order to keep the mass of the content on the hitch. In addition, a top cylinder can be installed that actively exerts pressure on the tractor. A properly balanced hitch situation helps to reduce the necessary tractive power and thereby diesel consumption as well. It also prevents damage to the sod.

All typical suction arm variants from the BSA product range are available for the Profiline single-axle tanker to allow integration into a logistics chain. For example, it is possible to quickly and conveniently draw slurry from supply tanks with an elevated suction boom.

Electronic control

The single-axle tankers of the Profiline series can be equipped with all control systems up to the Signo-ISOBUS control. Among other possibilities, this allows control of the fully automatic regulation of the distribution quantity or switching of partial width operation based on GPS data. With numerous automated sequences, the Signo controls offer a high level of user-friendliness and help reduce the burden on the driver.
