A new equipment option for the mixing wagons of Bernard van Lengerich Maschinenfabrik optimizes the mix of long-fiber feed mixtures
Mixing feed rations with long-fiber components optimally is often a challenge for mixing wagons. With a new equipment option for mixing wagons or mixing augers from Bernard van Lengerich Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG (short: BvL) in Emsbüren, the mixture of fiber-rich rations is now much easier.
The new Fiber Cut knife is a vertical knife attachment on the mixing auger of the mixing wagon. It has a better cutting action and ensures optimized mixing and discharging especially in long-fibered structures in the feed. This simplifies, for example, the processing and feeding of feed mixtures with round bales of hay or straw, especially for hay milk farms, which rely entirely on feeding with structurally rich hay.
