CeMAT 2014: Kardex Remstar has its sights set on production logistics

Hannover, 03.18.2014.Kardex Remstar is presenting new production logistics concepts at stand E12 in hall 13 at CeMAT, the world’s leading fair for intralogistics, which is being held from May 19 till 23 in Hannover. The aim is to increase automation of material flow during production.

A large part of industrial value added takes place in logistics. In order to exploit this potential, intralogistics and production must be more strongly linked. Kardex Remstar is now gearing its storage and retrieval solutions more closely toward production conditions. The intelligent automation of the material flow during production significantly increases process accuracy, quality, and productivity.

Besides new production logistics concepts, Kardex Remstar is also presenting the Shuttle XP 1000. The new storage lift for loads weighing up to 1,000 kg per tray is being introduced to trade professionals for the first time at CeMAT 2014. It has been specially designed for the organized storage and fast retrieval of heavy and/or bulky parts and is ideal for supplying assembly lines or using as a buffer storage location during production. The option to simply store entire pallets and an overhead crane integrated into the unit make the solution especially interesting to the automotive industry, mechanical engineering companies, and firms operating in the servicing and maintenance sector.
