CM Labs Simulations, the leading vendor of simulation-based training solutions for port operators, today announced the latest updates to Intellia Instructor. Launched in 2023, Intellia Instructor is a next-generation instructor support and training management tool that offers learning path planning, student monitoring, and detailed reporting features.

Intellia Instructor is the flagship product of Intellia, CM Labs’ Intelligent Training System, and is compatible with all of its equipment training packs. These latest updates to Intellia Instructor allow instructors to dig deeper into trainee progress and understand how trainee skills evolve over time. As a result, training is more personalized, efficient, and data-driven than ever before.

With this latest version of Intellia Instructor, training managers and instructors gain several new data analysis features, including the following:

Performance Indicators: This feature groups the metrics from training exercises into three broad categories—safety, productivity, and quality—and tallies them into a final letter grade (A,B,C,D or F) that provides an easy-to-read summary of achievement.

Progress Reports: This feature allows instructors to see how the safety, productivity, and quality of a trainee’s skills evolve over time.

Export Feature for User Session Data: This feature allows instructors to seamlessly export training data to Excel or a learning management system (LMS) such as Moodle and Blackboard for record-keeping and deeper analysis.

Bulk Session Report Generation: This feature allows instructors to generate multiple session reports at once.

Instructor Dashboard Enhancements: These enhancements give instructors key statistics on users, such as seat time and average, top, and lowest scores. Instructors can then filter these insights by trainee, date, and even equipment type.

“By tracking the evolution of performance indicators over time in trainee progress reports, instructors gain a quick and clear overview of an operator’s capabilities as they evolve throughout their training,” said Devon Van de Kletersteeg, Ports and Industrial Product Growth Manager. “For example, if a trainee’s productivity score improves while their safety score decreases, the trainee may be acting recklessly in an effort to go faster, which an instructor can then address.”

These latest updates are part of CM Labs’ commitment to empowering instructors with the training management and reporting tools they need to provide even more efficient, data-driven, and personalized training. These updates join Intellia Instructor’s existing features, which include the ability to monitor multiple trainees at once, craft custom learning paths, add an unlimited number of users to the system, and inject faults into exercises.

“Intellia Instructor continues to set the industry standard. Our goal is to lead the market by anticipating and addressing industry needs,” said Lisa Barbieri, VP of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships. “These updates make training data more accessible and easier to interpret at a glance, helping our clients enhance safety, improve productivity, and train more operators to proficiency faster.”
