The Intellia Workforce Training System connects simulation, curriculum, training management, and AI-guided learning in one workforce development solution for port operators, and will be featured by CM Labs at booth #E40.
CM Labs Simulations, the leading vendor of simulation-based training solutions in the ports industry, today announced the Intellia Workforce Training System, a workforce development solution that standardizes, manages, and scales simulation-based operator training. Attendees can experience the training system in action at TOC Europe 2026, May 19 to 21, taking place at Hamburg Messe und Congress in Hamburg, Germany, at booths #E38 and #E40.
As terminals face growing pressure to increase productivity and meet higher performance targets, they must also train operators for inherently complex, high-risk working environments. Many organizations still struggle to prepare operators consistently, track development clearly, and standardize outcomes across sites without disrupting live operations or relying on limited equipment availability. These gaps can slow workforce readiness, increase operational strain, and make it harder to protect safety as performance demands rise.
“Port and terminal operators are under pressure to build skilled workforces while keeping operations moving and maintaining safe, consistent training standards,” said Lisa Barbieri, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at CM Labs. “Because port operations involve complex equipment, high-risk environments, and limited opportunities for live practice, organizations need a more structured way to develop operators before they enter the field. The Intellia Workforce Training System brings visibility, consistency, and scalability to that process.”
A Unified Approach to Port Operator Training
At TOC Europe 2026, CM Labs will showcase how the Intellia Workforce Training System supports port operator training through curriculum, training management tools, and simulator hardware.
-
Simulation Curriculum: Structured, simulator-based exercises support hands-on skill development, while web-based learning reinforces theory, preparation, and review. Built on CM Labs’ authentic machine behavior, the simulation curriculum helps operators build proficiency in realistic terminal conditions across quayside, yard, and remote operating environments.
-
Training Management Tools: Delivers the ability to manage the curriculum, track performance, and generate reports through one system. As programs expand, these features support real-time coaching and training tailored to individual needs, while maintaining oversight without adding manual tracking or extra administrative work.
-
Simulator Hardware: Immersive simulator hardware provides the environment where operators apply and strengthen skills in conditions that reflect real port equipment and workflows. At TOC Europe, CM Labs will showcase the Summit Simulator, the enclosed-cab simulator added through the GlobalSim acquisition, as part of its expanded port training offering.

AI Integrated Into the Training Workflow
The Intellia Workforce Training System includes an AI Assistant within the training environment to support instructors and apprentices as programs scale. By handling routine questions about exercises, objectives, and system functionality, it helps reduce manual overhead and allows instructors to focus on coaching and evaluation.
Experience the Future of Port Training at TOC Europe 2026
Attendees are invited to explore the Intellia Workforce Training System, try the Summit Simulator firsthand at booth #E40, and connect with CM Labs specialists to discuss a more scalable, connected approach to port operator training.
