Disc mowers GMD 9530 and GMD 10030

In the pursuit for higher output from mowing operations, using tractors that are not necessarily high-powered, KUHN created two new rear-mounted mowers, GMD 9530 and GMD 10030. With working widths of 9.53 m and 9.93 m respectively, they constitute a comprehensive range with the existing GMD 8730.

These 2 new models, that provide a clean, nutritionally-rich forage harvest and preserve plant cover for enhanced regrowth, have a central chassis structure like mower conditioners FC 9530 and FC10030.

Their main features :

  • Vertical folding for transport, preventing large, rear offset, reducing overhang and also making it possible to use the machine with medium-sized tractors.

  • LIFT CONTROL and articulated pendulum joint system make ground following easier, provide optimum cut height, simplified height control settings, reduced fuel consumption and less wear to the skids. All of this, while preserving the nutritional value of the crop by keeping out impurities.

  • Should a mower unit meet an obstacle, it can shift to rear and lift up. It then uses the NON-STOP system to return to work position. The pivot point near the center of the machine protects the mower unit, even if the leading discs hit an obstacle.

  • To ensure a clean cut, the driver can adjust working width any time, as well as overlap with the front-mounted mower.

  • The machine’s vertical folding position saves space for winter storage.

The GMD 9530 model is mainly designed to work with a 3.10 m front-mounted mower, and the GMD 10030 with the GMD 3525 F front-mounted mower, whose working width is 3.50 m.

The GMD 9530 and GMD 10030 benefit from the technology, know-how and experience that KUHN, world leader in disc mowers, has accumulated over the past 50 years.
