STIHL connect pro networks tools and ensures optimized workflows and minimized downtimes
With the cloud-based system solution STIHL connect pro, the Waiblingen-based company enables professional users in in municipalities, construction companies, building trade companies as well as gardening and landscaping companies to digitally manage machine fleets and work assignments. The key element is the STIHL Smart Connector - a sensor with a diameter of just under five centimeters, which is mounted on the tools. This records the operating hours and transmits them to the STIHL Cloud as central data storage via the user's smartphone or tablet. If desired, the geo-position can also be transferred. Users are then provided with the data for evaluation via the STIHL connect pro portal. This gives them a detailed overview of the status of their tools as well as relevant data on their work assignments such as type and duration of use. This enables them to coordinate their machine fleet exactly and thus optimize their daily work processes and minimize downtimes. In addition, the system provides early information about upcoming tool maintenance. If desired, it can arrange a workshop appointment directly with the STIHL specialist dealer and also transmit all service-relevant device data. Thus, the specialist dealer can plan the scope of work in advance and order any necessary spare parts. This shortens service times and the device is quickly ready for use again. STIHL connect pro thus offers more than conventional fleet management and creates the best conditions for increasing efficiency.
