Eisenmann combines forces in industrial furnaces

Effective August 31, 2015, Eisenmann SE will merge Ruhstrat GmbH & Co. KG with its business unit for process & high-temperature technology to create Eisenmann Thermal Solutions GmbH & Co. KG. The new organization will be headquartered in Bovenden, although the Böblingen site will continue to operate.

As André Görnhardt, Managing Director of Eisenmann Thermal Solutions GmbH & Co. KG, explains, “This move will allow us to collaborate more closely than ever, particularly in our industrial furnaces business. By pooling the expertise that our teams have gained in thermal process technology over the last few decades, we will be better placed to effectively meet growing demand for global solutions, and to address the challenge of more complex processes.”

The Ruhstrat and Eisenmann teams will undertake joint R&D projects in the areas of lightweight materials and carbon fiber, high-performance metals, technical ceramics, powder chemicals, catalysts and new materials. Moreover, the teams will consolidate and expand their marketing and engineering activities. A range of electrical technologies under the brandname of Ruhstrat will complement and enhance the existing Eisenmann product portfolio. The new organization will be well equipped to react to changing market conditions with greater speed and flexibility, and to tailor products and processes to continuously evolving customer needs. Eisenmann Thermal Solutions will be a skilled, experienced global partner – delivering services to customers worldwide.

Eisenmann forged a sales partnership with Ruhstrat GmbH several years before acquiring the company in 2011. The acquisition enabled Eisenmann to become the only enterprise that could provide turnkey solutions for the entire thermal process for carbon fibre. The two enterprises have achieved genuine synergies in sales, product development and project execution – helping Eisenmann become the world’s leading supplier of solutions for carbon fiber manufacturing.
