Digitizing plant engineering - Eisenmann launches a spin-off software company

On September 1, 2015, Eisenmann spun off its software activities for the E-MES production control system to create a new company, effective retroactively from January 1, 2015. Eisenmann Industrial Software Company has since operated under the name ENisco GmbH & Co. KG. and is headquartered in Böblingen, Germany.

This strategic decision enables Eisenmann SE to further develop its leading role in smart manufacturing – and play a key part in making the intelligent factories of the German Industry 4.0 initiative a reality. By creating this new software business for the Eisenmann manufacturing execution system (E-MES), Eisenmann is combining its traditional plant engineering expertise with corresponding information technology and software skills.

Enisco streamlines manufacturing across multiple industries and processes, including end-to-end automotive painting, fully automated logistics, and water treatment – making the software start-up a trailblazer in integrated production. Moreover, the spin-off will enable Eisenmann to respond to market developments with even greater speed and flexibility.

Enisco’s goal is to be an innovative and expert partner for customers worldwide, developing and implementing new technologies and business models in the fast-paced software market. Against this background, the software company will continue to leverage and expand Eisenmann’s global network.
