“We have long aspired to enter the US market, so in acquiring this site in late 2012 we located Euro Auctions squarely at the hub of the American equipment industry,” stated David Betts. “Over recent years we’ve forged excellent relationships with major US companies and have already secured some exceptional construction and industrial machinery from across South East USA for this, our first US auction. Our winning combination will help ensure this unreserved auction is a real success with buyers and sellers alike and pre‑auction attendance and internet registrations are now being received on a daily basis.”

Euro Auctions, the UK’s largest auctioneers of construction machinery and industrial equipment, acquired the 65 acre Newnan site alongside Interstate 85, with access via Exit 51 at the Sharpsburg /McCollum Road turning, in late 2012.  With its elevated position and rolling topography, the site has a boundary of 4,600 ft fronting directly onto the Interstate and a further 2,800 ft on Raymond Hill; making it both easily accessible and highly visible to passing traffic. The site also has extensive hard top and over 50,000 sq ft of onsite accommodation that includes the main drive through auction hall; a check‑in, sale day administration building and offices; cafeterias; as well as two equipment preparation and spray workshops.

This auction marks the start of regular auctions at the Atlanta site, with another planned before the end of the year and four further auctions envisioned for 2014.  A strong US operations team is also being put together so for career information, or to register for or include equipment in this or any of the auctions operated by Euro Auctions, visit www.euroauctions.com.  Alternatively contact Euro Auctions USA on 770 683 3883 or call the head office from USA on 011 44 2882 898262; or visit http://www.facebook.com/EuroAuctionsUSA for updates on the USA auction on Facebook.
