All ready to attend Bauma. The world's largest construction trade fair is set to start in a few days, where HIMOINSA will showcase its full range of generator sets and lighting towers for the rental sector.

HIMOINSA manufactures generator sets from 20 to 1300 kVA for the rental sector. The company also designs generators with higher power and special configurations and connections in parallel that can increase and/or reduce the power by adapting it to meet the needs of the client at any given time. The company is introducing new generator sets with Stage 3A engines, with a power range of 20-550 kVA in PRP.

HRMW 1270 D5-6

A new generator set with an MTU engine and 1270 kVA of power at 50 Hz and 1232 kVA at 60 Hz in PRP. The new model guarantees more power in a smaller space, as well as improved load acceptance and low running and maintenance costs. The new electronic regulation improves operation in different temperature and altitude conditions. It is integrated into a tough CSC-certified 20-foot ISO container, allowing maritime transport. One of its main advantages is its ability to supply power at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, making it ideal for the rental sector.

HRGP 60 T5

A gas-powered generator with an integrated LPG tank, which supplies 60 kVA of continuous power. Its rental canopy incorporates enough LPG storage for 24-hour continuous operation without refueling. It can also be connected to an external tank to extend its autonomous operation. The integrated tanks are LPG-certified for vehicles, making it a versatile option for the rental sector, with the ability to refuel at a service station with an LPG pump. It can be used with natural gas just by activating a selector. There are therefore three different power supply options: integrated tanks or external LPG or NG supply. This model is available in a dual-frequency version, for operation at 50 and 60 Hz.

HRFW 200 T5

A generator set with an FPT_IVECO engine that complies with Stage 3A emission limits, supplying power of 200 kVA in PRP and 220 kVA in standby. The addition of the new N67TE3F engine completes the NEF 6.7 L family with the most powerful 1500 rpm version, so it is not necessary to use larger displacement engines. It is a compact generator set that also complies with existing emissions regulations, making it a competitive generator for operation in any geographic area. It incorporates the HIMOINSA CEM7 control panel, a semi-automatic digital control panel that controls and monitors the equipment.

AS4012 LPG

The first lighting tower powered by LPG cylinders on the market. With a total of 384,000 lumens, this new model illuminates up to 32,000 m2 and guarantees autonomous operation for 24 hours, i.e. 3 nights of continuous work. It incorporates a Yanmar engine with a power of 5 kW (50 Hz) and 7 kW (60 Hz). This guarantees reduced emissions, as well as significant running and maintenance cost savings compared with diesel lighting towers, with oil change requirements that are 2.5 times lower: 500 hours compared with 200 hours required by a diesel engine. Being powered by 4 LPG cylinders makes it a model unique in the market, which prevents fuel theft, an all too common occurrence in the rental sector.

APOLO BOX |LED

Characterised by its size and square shape, two features that facilitate and optimise transportation. Up to 20 units can be transported in a 40' container. It operates autonomously for 126 hours and has six 240 W LED bulbs, guaranteeing lower fuel consumption and, therefore, greater energy savings. Its hydraulic mast can rotate 360° and extends up to 9 metres, with an extension time of less than 25 seconds.

HFW 490 T5

More power in less space. The new generator set with an FPT_IVECO engine supplies a power of 489 kVA in PRP. It comes in a G1 canopy, making it 24% smaller than other models of the same power. Undoubtedly a competitive advantage when transporting and installing the equipment.

HYW 35 T5

Generator set with Stage 3A Yanmar engine offering a power range of 34 kVA in PRP and 37 in standby. This model can now include a special kit that allows for longer maintenance intervals up to 1000 hours. Among other improvements, the kit includes a larger tank, which supplies extra oil to the engine. While fuel and oil consumption remain the same, the cost of filters is significantly reduced, and so is the downtime, when the equipment is out of operation for maintenance. For this reason, the kit guarantees less waste oil and, therefore, a reduced environmental impact.

Why rental companies choose HIMOINSA generator sets

HIMOINSA generator sets and lighting towers form part of the equipment fleets of major rental companies such as Loxam, Ramirent, Red-D-Arc, Speedy, Woodlands Generators, Charles Wilson Engineers, Atut Rental, Power Rental, Power Hire, etc., with the UK representing one of the main markets for the multinational company.

The equipment designed for the rental sector may be used in a range of applications; from events, Oil & Gas, construction, mining, IPP, water treatment, to temporary stand-by for shops, hospitals, hotels or residential areas. For this reason, the HR rental range meets each and every one of these needs in a single product. The entire HIMOINSA generator sets and lighting towers have been designed with four values in mind: transportability, reliability, durability and simplicity, in order to facilitate the rental companies’ work and their final users.

-Transportability. All of the equipment has lifting points and forklift rails, avoiding bending and displacement of components during lifting. The equipment is also suited to modes of transport, as HIMOINSA designs canopies to optimise load capacity, both for wheeled land platforms, and in 20’ or 10’ ISO containers.

-Weather resistance. Ready to withstand water ingress, corrosion due to humidity and high salinity, ice and snow build-up, and power loss due to high temperatures. HIMOINSA offers gensets that can withstand over 1000 hours of salt-spray testing. These results were obtained without sacrificing any acoustic performance or ventilation or cooling capacity of the engine, which is guaranteed up to 55ºC.

-Ease of use. HIMOINSA designs and manufactures electronic systems; the CEMx and Mx controllers, can communicate with the new Stage 3A engine protocols, and Fleet Managers, which enable remote centralised monitoring and management of the rental fleet.

-Reliability. Guaranteeing that the equipment will function throughout its useful life without needing to stop for unplanned maintenance is vital. That is why HIMOINSA's Product Engineering team has scrutinised every aspect of the position of operating components, the position and number of lifting points, the orientation and position of air inlet/outlet and gas exhausts, full protection of hot and moving parts.
