During harvesting between 3 to 20 % of the crop in the trailer is trash, depending on the conditions. Mainly that means also cost intense further transport followed by an intense separation and disposal. In very harsh conditions up to 1000 ton trash could be produced on a 100 ha field.

The new field loader - CleanLoader

For logistic and ecological reasons Grimme developed the infield CleanLoader with permit for road transport, with the aim to leave the main trash on the field.

For the independent use of the CleanLoader it is equipped with an economical 46 kW 4 cylinder diesel engine, a separate power supply is not required. The field loader is ready to use or to move to the next field in less than 15 minutes. The very large jack stands do not require additional packing plates. At the front is the proven Receiving Hopper from the RH 24-60 Combi with a volume of 21 m³, followed by two roller modules and a large inspection platform. The first roller module ensures an intense soil separation. The second is either for the use of additional soil separation or for pre-grading. Another advantage of the CleanLoader's are the integrated and extendable cross conveyor at both sides, additional conveyors are not required.

The CleanLoader has a double-sided comfortable inspection platform with trash conveyors. Gentle hedgehog webs transfer the crop onto the 120 wide cart elevator. The OptiBags web for additional cleaning effect is available for the cart elevator as an option. The swivelling range of 25 degree to the l/h- or r/h side (6.5 meter) require that the lorry has only to move ones for a complete trailer filling. With a 7 meter overloading length even small ditches are not a problem. The maximum unloading height is 6.5 m and the elevator is able to dip deep into the transport lorry. The CleanLoader has a performance of up to 120 t/h. So a full lorry is loaded in only 15 minutes.

Advantages at a glance

With the development of the CleanLoader Grimme increase the field logistic efficiency. And the use of the field loader has also some more advantages:

1. A lorry needs up to 40 % less diesel than a tractor.

2. Better use of the lorry capacity which reduces the necessary trips to the field.

3. Lorries are much faster on the road as a tractor with a trailer.

4. Better prices for industrial potatoes as the trash amount has been reduced tremendously.

5. Extra deposit of the trash becomes void as it can stay on the field.

6. Considerable improved field hygienic: soil stays on the field and does not get mixed with other trash

7. Less wearing costs of the mostly expensive special tractor and trailer wheels.

8. Low air pressure in the wheels on the field ensure a low ground compaction.

9. Immense reduced soiling of the road.
