With Haulotte & Acarlar’s 10-year partnership a new success story was born in Turkey’s long-awaited high-speed railway line between the capital, Ankara, and the financial capital, Istanbul in which various Haulotte Scissor lifts & Diesel Articulated Booms have been used.
Aside from this emblematic line, Turkey’s sprawling high speed railway network will also include 21 new stations across the country and constitutes a key element of the Government’s plans to increase the share of rail transport by improving productivity and effectiveness of railway operations.
The Ankara station which is planned to be finished in 2016 will be one of the most important and biggest public buildings in Ankara, will serve 20,000 passengers at first and its capacity is expected to be raised to 50,000 in the near future. Acarlar Makine, Haulotte’s dealer in Turkey has supplied several units in the last months to contribute to building this station. Among them, the mostly used are the diesel Scissor lifts H15SX & H18SX , the diesel articulated HA18SPX and H43TPX, the 43m diesel Telescopic boom.
Haulotte H15SX and H18SX are perfectly up to the task with their ergonomic and spacious designed platform thanks to double extension which can be loaded up to 500kg. The superior handling 4WD with Hydraulic Differential Lock greatly improves the traction on rough terrain handling. The HA18SPX has high flexibility throughout the working envelope & 360° continuous turntable rotation whereas the H43TPX is designed to reach to most difficult working areas and increase time efficiency and productivity.
In addition to the high speed train, Haulotte & Acarlar are continuing together to contribute to other major infrastructure projects in Turkey. Osman Gazi bridge is one of them and has just been completed with the installation of the last bridge deck. The bridge will be the fourth longest suspension bridge in the world by the length of its central span and will cut the travel time between Istanbul and İzmir from nine hours to three-and-a-half. The construction of the bridge started in 2013 and it is expected to be opened mid-2016.
Many of Haulotte Electric & Diesel Scissors have been used to build the structure of the bridge and install & fix the steel beams. We can name the Compact 12 with its 450kg capacity as well as several units of the HA41PX-NT which is known for its rough terrain capabilities.
