Langendorf will exhibit a line-up of four key products on its inside stand (E06) in Hall 27 at the IAA trade show in Hanover. The German manufacturer, from Waltrop, has selected its exhibits to best represent an extensive model range, which sees the company as a well-established supplier of rugged bodies and trailers to the construction sector.
Outside in section T13, Langendorf is also exhibiting an example of its popular double-deck trailer – a trailer type which has been in production for many years.
“We are really looking forward to the forthcoming IAA Show,” says Dr Strautmann, Langendorf’s CEO. “At this year´s exhibition we will focus on our renewed line of bodies and trailers, many of which are the result of updated production methods which were established during the last 12 months. Looking to the year ahead, we will continue to invest heavily in innovation and further adapting our production facilities to take advantage of the very latest manufacturing techniques. We will also expand our range with new models for key markets,” he explains.
“It’s been a strong year for the business. In the last financial year (October 2014 – September 2015) we sold more than 1,000 assets for the first time and returned to profit.”
The turnover and production output has been steadily growing since 2013. The turnover of the Langendorf Group in the last financial year reached €47 million. In the same period (October 2014 – September 2015) 861 units were produced. There was a small increase in staffing levels and on September 30th 2015, 265 people were employed, including 30 apprentices – demonstrating Langendorf’s commitment to training the next generation.
The increased production volume, achieved with almost the same amount of people, was made possible following a restructuring process which is now two-thirds complete.
Since 2013, about €6 million has been invested in the company. New production facilities, improved logistics, modernised assembly lines and significant new machinery have led to the increased production capacity. In the coming years, further new investments totalling nearly €2 million are planned for the business.
“The current financial year has not ended yet, but we can already see that the company’s position has improved once more, compared to last year,” added Dr Strautmann.
“I have visited a lot of our customers in recent months, and the new spirit within our business has led to some very positive reactions and great conversations,” he concluded.
