Leeb PT 330 – New self-propelled sprayer with high speed for high crops

As an extension of the plant protection product range HORSCH presents at the Agritechnica show the serial version of the self-propelled sprayer PT 330. The prototype was already exhibited at the show two years ago. Next year the machine will be available for the European farmers.

The PT 330 has a 6-cylinder engine with 330hp and water cooling. It is equipped with an electro-hydraulic all-wheel steering and the drive is a continuously variable hydrostatic traction drive with a control that is a HORSCH in-house development. The traction drive is designed for speeds of up to 30 km/h in the field and of up to 60 km/h on the road. The machine is equipped with hydraulic single wheel suspension and the track width is continuously variable from 2.25 to 3 m. Ground clearance is infinitely variable from 1.4 to 1.6 m. Thus, the PT 330 is ideal for high crops like maize or sunflowers. The tank capacity is 5,000 litres for spraying mixture and 500 litres for fresh water. The pump output is 1,000 l/min. Inside cleaning is carried out automatically via the CCS system (Continuous Cleaning System). The available boom width range is from 30 to 36 m (9 section boom). The boom control system is BoomControl Pro which was awarded a silver medal at the Agritechnica show 2013. It guarantees a steady boom position even at high speeds and on uneven terrain.

Like the new trailed sprayer Leeb LT the Leeb PT 330, too, is equipped with a new operating concept. It is a HORSCH in-house development and has a lot of new and innovative functions which will facilitate adjustment, operation and control of the machine. Part of it is the HORSCH nozzle switching with a nozzle spacing of 50 or 25 cm. This together with BoomControl Pro allows for a target area height of 30 cm, thus allowing for an enormous drift reduction and optimisation of the plant wetting. With regard to the nozzle switching all combinations from 1-0 (every 50 cm a nozzle) to 4-2 (every 50 cm 4 nozzles plus every 25 cm 2 nozzles).
