LEXIS: Keeping it simple!

KUHN continues to develop its equipment and attachment offering on their trailed sprayer range, with the addition of a new tank and a new self-steering drawbar for the LEXIS trailed sprayer.

KUHN is expanding its offering on the LEXIS trailed sprayer to reach the differing needs of its customers. Previously available with just only a3000 litre tank, the LEXIS trailed sprayer can now be equipped with a tank featuring a nominal capacity of 2400 litres with a total capacity of 2790 litres.

To provide crop protection and to fit a top hitch on a tractor, KUHN offers a top hitch type self-steering drawbar on the LEXIS trailed sprayer. With this new top hitch type drawbar, which is one of our self-steering drawbars, the sprayer follows the tractor without damaging the crops. The articulated drawbar senses the angle between the tractor and the sprayer, so the sprayer wheels follow the tractor tracks.

The new LEXIS tank and tracking systems ensure precision and ease of use:

  • A compact, lightweight machine which facilitates manoeuvrability and safe travel during transport phases. The low weight of the LEXIS trailed sprayer helps soil structure requirements to be respected especially in difficult conditions.

  • It features a MANUSET or DILUSET+ operating panel with just two main valves for intuitive operation requiring just a few actions. The systems require 30% to 50% fewer actions than many competing machines in this segment.

  • A wide choice of new KUHN steel (MTS2) and aluminium (MTA2, MEA2, RHPA) booms with widths ranging from 18 to 28m are available for this sprayer.

  • Featuring a CANBUS control system and an RPB, REB3, VISIOREB terminal, or an ISOBUS control system with or without a terminal, the LEXIS trailed sprayer can be hitched to all types of tractors and equipped with the latest precision spray attachments.

This equipment is available from June 2019.
