1. Tillage & Coltivation

DRACULA

Combined cultivator

Innovation

Dracula combines all the agronomic advantages of operativity and efficiency: thanks to the combination of front discs and shanks, Dracula provides crop residue management, soil aeration, levelling and seedbed preparation in a single passage.

Identikit

The front double disc gangs cut residue, dislodge roots and incorporate the residues with the soil for a faster decomposition. The working depth of the discs can be adjusted hydraulically on the go. As the soil and residue are mixed, oxygen enters in the tilled area and in colder soil. The action also warms the seed zone, for rapid seed emergence.

The cultivator section of Dracula consists of three rows of shanks designed to break up compacted layers, improve aeration and help the soil to retain moisture. Processing depth is adjustable, from zero to a maximum of 30 cm. Shank inclination has been designed to allow better penetration even in the toughest soil, while the high frame clearance guarantees a perfect flow of soil and residues.

Levelling and consolidation

The last section of Dracula is made of a set of inclined discs, which eliminate any ridges due to shanks’ passage. The final tillage zone is carried-out by the rear ring roller, that levels and reconsolidates the seedbed.

Discs diameter and concavity

The notched discs: made with highly resistant boron steel, a wide diameter (610 mm) and a soil contact which is four times wider than traditional smaller discs. The discs concavity ensures better soil and residue mixing.

Perfect cutting angle

Discs’ cutting angle (22°), their shape and their spacing offset ensure excellent cutting quality, also in the toughest working conditions.

Optimum geometry for residue flow

Shank placement and spacing promotes a perfect flow even in high residue conditions, preventing clogging. Every element is spaced equally, to ensure uniform work front (30 cm).

On the road

Dracula can easily move also on road: in transport mode it’s just 3 meters wide, and the large tyres (550/60-22.5) ensure excellent maneuverability. 

UNICO

In-furrow plough with adjustable parallelogram

Identikit

Unico is the new in-furrow model, available in different versions (from 2 or 6 elements), from 80 to 300 CV. Unico is equipped with Smooth Set Parallelogram Technology, which allows a quick set of every furrow. Thanks to this system, the regulation of the pulling point, improves towing quality and reducing the horsepower requirement. Unico features with a sturdy frame, made with high-quality steel.

The range

Maschio and Moro offer a complete range of mounted and semi-mounted reversible ploughs, in furrow and on land. The different frame versions, fixed and folding, and the wide choice of moldboards and skimmers offers the right solution for every working condition and soil type.

The Moro production plant (where the plough production is established) has been expanded and renewed, adapting Maschio’s standards: technology, automationand quality. A new painting system has been installed, equipped with a sandblasting system and powder coating.

LELIO VARIO

In-furrow mounted ploughs

Maschio ploughs combines operational reliability with an excellent quality of work, in a completely new design: the mounted in-furrow plough Lelio Vario is one of the top range model.

The special frame characterized by large section (up to 150 mm), interbody (up to 115 cm), and underbeam (up to 95 cm) clearances makes these model the right choice for the toughest ploughings.

Lelio Vario is fitted with the furrow working width adjustment systems. The plough is characterized by the shear bolt safety device and is available in five sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL). The number of bodies available varies from 2 to 5+1 and the HP required is between 60 to 230.

Vario System

Using a double-acting hydraulic cylinder, each furrow width can be set continuously from 25 to 60 cm. By a parallelogram connection system, the furrows, the draft point and the depth wheel are automatically adjusted at the same time when the working width changes.

HS – INTELLIGENTE

Hydraulic folding frame row-crop cultivator

The HS model is the professional row-crop cultivator features high autonomy, thanks to the big hopper (also available in stainless steel), and a reduced road clearance (2.5 m). The pneumatic delivery of the fertilizer on the side rows assures distribution evenness. The hydraulic closing of the wings guarantees maximum comfort for the operator.

Standard Equipment

HS ensures uniform distribution of the fertilizer: by gravity on the central rows and pneumatic on the side

rows. The loading of the hopper, indeed, results very easy for the operator.

Optionals

HS is available also with the following optional:

• Automatic drive: allows high speed tilling on non-linear sowed soils with no damage for the crop. In fact, the automatic drive directs the machine perfectly along the tractor track, even on bends. A manual version is also available.

• Front hitch: the basic model can be applied to the front of the tractor using the appropriate optional kit.

Element Configuration

The different configurations of the cultivator unit enable to extend its use and improve tilling quality. Several working widths are possible, in order to adapt the machine to the different row spacing; it is also possible to adjust the working width with an easily installable conversion kit.

Intelligente

The HS model exposed at SIMA 2015 is equipped with Maschio’s Intelligente, an intermediate connection frame between tractor and machine (in this case, the row crop cultivator HS), which actively adjust the machine’s position thanks to optical sensors in order to follow exactly the planting row.

2. Seeding and Planting

CORONA

Cultivator drill

Identikit

Top Maschio Gaspardo cultivator drill, Corona is perfect for large farms.

It combines precision seeding and high speed, both on-semi worked soil or directly on residues, increasing productivity and daily output.

Discs and hopper

The large discs, 510 mm of diameter, are arranged in two spaced ranks and carried by a heavy duty frame with high ground clearance (770 mm), to prevent any clogging issues.

ISOBUS technology

Corona combines Maschio Gaspardo products excellence and advanced technology. ISOBUS system allows to manage easily seeding from the cab.

Even emergence

The rear roller is made by large tires (405/70-R20). Tread design consolidates and levels the soil, ensuring excellent contact between seed and soil, for quick emergence. 200 mm offset between wheels produces a self-cleaning effect, that minimizes the risk of clogging.

Seedbed refinement

The boron steel toothed concave discs are connected to the frame by Silent Block dampener (4 rubber pads interposed between the frame and the disc holder. Designed to avoid damage in the case of working in stony soil, Silent Block doesn’t require any maintenance.

3 meters no-stop

Corona is available also in 3 and 4 m models, with fixed and compact frame.

Designed for the combination with tractors between 150 and 200 CV, Corona presents a great working capacity, thanks to the 3.500 lt seed hopper and the high working speed (8-16 km/h).

FLEEXEED,the distribution system by Gaspardo, allows a wide distribution range of seed or fertilizer, from 1,5 to 550 kg/h. The distributor is made in cast alluminium. Thanks to the wide choice of FLEEXEED rollers, you can handle any kind of seeds.

PERFECTA combination

Corona cultivator drill can be equipped with the PERFECTA seeding bar, available for a working width up to 6 meters. The planting unit pressure (double discs ø 370 mm) and seeding depth (from 0 to 8 cm) are adjustable independently, ensuring accuracy in any condition.

Easy transport

Corona is equipped with a two point pivot towing system, with double hinge rotation, for a quick connection to the tractor and high maneuverability. Transport is safe and easy, thanks to a width less than 3 meters and 4 tires support.

MIRKA

Pneumatic precision planter with hydraulic folding frame

Mirka is the 8 row folding vacuum planter for the big maize grower, the farm contractor or the biogas plant. The reliable and precise Gaspardo MTR planting unit guarantees perfect establishment of crop, productivity and profitability, on any soil and condition.

Big size, easy maneuvers, speedy adjustment

Mirka is equipped with a big hopper (capacity 1.400 liters) to ensure a remarkable working capacity, with rear extra-large transmission wheels and with a pneumatic fertilizer delivery on side rows.

The fertilizer, with double disc coulter, can be easily adjusted thanks to speedy set system.

Mirka is designed for a safe and easy transport, thanks to the hydraulic locking hooks device and to the wings-up system.

MTR planting unit

The MTR unit model was developed to guarantee maximum capacity and working speed. The sturdiness of the frame and variety of configurations make this planting unit adaptable to all kinds of working conditions. The pneumatic seed distribution system guarantees extremely uniform delivery, even sowing seeds with irregular shape and size.

TRONIC SYSTEM

Mirka is equipped with Gaspardo’s TRONIC, a revolutionary system that manages precision planting with electric metering units. There are many benefits to this innovation: simplified machine structure, lower maintenance, easy and quick seeding distance setup, constant control of seed placement accuracy and the opportunity to save all data.

Tronic transforms all operations in easy and intuitive tasks: seeding distance can be quickly set by just tapping on the monitor. Another practical function is a sensor that measures the depression generated by the vacuum and reports it on the monitor, ensuring an easy and comfortable drive.

3. Landscaping

CAMILLA - KATIA

Hedge cutters

KATIA and CAMILLA are the new hedge cutters designed for contractors and road maintenance professionals’ needs. These machines are the new benchmarks for productivity, reliability and safety! All technical solutions were studied to make the daily work and maintenance operations easy and safe.

These machines are the synthesis of all Maschio group philosophy for innovation in landscape maintenance. All technical solutions offer great performance, absolute comfort and reduced operating costs.

Simultaneous opening

The parallelogram of the arm’s first section allows the simultaneous opening of both segments with only one hydraulic command. Moreover, this special design can keep parallel the cutting head and at a constant height, also when the arm is open: so, the number of maneuvers to correct the head’s position are drastically reduced.

Components and materials

All components can perform in any work condition and ensure full reliability. All the hoses are protected by a spiral coating in most exposed points, or by a carter along the arm sections. The hardened bushings and the treated hinges ensure long operating life. The hydraulic circuit, with a silenced motor, is equipped with a heat exchanger able to cool down oil and ensure quality also during continuous and intense work.

Fast and safe

To avoid any damage due to obstacle impact, both models are equipped with a double tilting safety system. For smaller impacts, a hydro-pneumatic circuit with nitrogen accumulator guarantees the cushioning needed, like a “hydro-pneumatic spring”, and brings back the arm in working position. With greater effort, a waste gate discharges the excess pressure and makes all the tilt rotate, until the completely overcoming of the obstacle.

Technology at your fingertips

The electronic components have been developed with extreme care. A touch-screen monitor allows to keep constantly under control all functions, by an easy and intuitive interface. The joystick which controls the arm allows more movements simultaneously, and is available in two versions: proportional electro-hydraulic (JSPH) and proportional electric compensated (JSPE).

CAMILLA

Camilla is extremely versatile. Its special structure with fulcrum on the first arm, where the parallelogram is hinged, allows to easily perform any operation: cutting the grass on road edges, pruning a tree lines or mulching river banks. Camilla is available in 4 models (500 cm - 550 cm – 600 cm – 650 cm of extension).

KATIA

The hedge cutter Katia is recommended for professionals who spend many hours cleaning ditches and river banks. Katia can work with the cutting head in forward position to the side of the cab, like ventral arms, without constraining the tractor to other uses. Katia is also equipped with a hydraulic system, with coupled pumps connected to a cast iron motor. The piston pump is optional. Katia is available in 3 models (500 cm – 600 cm – 650 cm of extension).

LAIKA

Hedge Cutter

Laika is the new Maschio Gaspardo hedge cutter, one of the most interesting 2015 landscaping machines: innovative design, high versatility and the most advanced working position available today.

Classica, Avanzata e Telescopica

To cater to different professionals needs, Laika is available in three models:

- Classica: fixed arm, 6 m of extension;

- Avanzata: fixed arm, head in advanced position, 6 m of extension;

- Telescopica: 7,5 m of extension.

The range

LAIKA is the new “daughter” in the Maschio Gaspardo family which is very similar to her older “sisters”, KATIA and CAMILLA.

All these cutters present the same rotors of 50 HP (gear system) and 70 HP (piston system), and use the same heads: D125 (direct) and DP 125 – 150 (belt transmission).

LAIKA differs from the other two for its arm hitch, raised to 1,20 m, and the positions it can offer, thanks to the independent first and second arm.

Where others can’t go

Laika goes where others can’t, because the first and the second arm are independent and the tilt range presents a remarkable angle of 125°.

LAIKA can work in the most advanced positions today possible for a hedge cutter: 1,80 m.

The operator, from the cab, has a complete visual of the machine, with all the benefits deriving. Even if LAIKA can work in a particularly advanced position when it foldes it perfectly adapts in size for transport.

LAIKA completes the landscaping range of Maschio Gaspardo, and will be presented worldwide for the first time at SIMA 2015.

DB 2000

Circular saw

It’ll be presented at the international showcase in Paris, SIMA 2015.

It’s the new DB 2000, 4 circular saws of 700 mm of diameter and 4,4 mm of thickness, designed for the most difficult cut.

The new boom offers a work width of 2,05 m and can be mounted on CAMILLA, KATIA, CARLA, MARTINA, LARA.

BUFALO

Reversible mulcher

Identikit

Bufalo is a reversible mulcherable to chop any kind of residues.

Bufalo has been designed for sturdiness and safety during use: the chains and the front rubber carter allow to work in heavy duty conditions.

Frame

The robust frame features with counter-blades. The blades can size wood pieces with a diameter up to12 cm.

The symmetrical design of the three points hitch and double front/rear 1.000 rpm gear box allow extremely quick configuration changes. The roll has a two-positions control, inside and outside the chopping box. The double skin, bolted inside the cutting chamber, prevents damages from stones.

Lateral sleds couple

The lateral sleds prevent side damage, especially working in rough and stony soils.

Hydraulic displacement

The hydraulic movement allows side scrolling of the machine during operations.

4. Hay & Forage

EXTREME 365 - HTC

Round baler with variable geometry

Identikit

Extreme 365 is the round baler with variable geometry, pride of Feraboli technology: high output and easy to use.

Designed to offer full flexibility in pressure and dimensions, Extreme 365 is easily manageable through the Easytronic control unit.

Two-arms system

Extreme is innovative for the two-arms system, composed by two chain stretcher arms that work together to effectively oppose the hydraulic compression action. While the main arm determines the dimension of the core formation chamber, the secondary arm automatically compensates the chain tension.

Pressing starts only after the preset soft core dimension has been reached: the hydraulic cylinders of the main stretcher arm exert the pressure required on successive layers, in order to give the bale the density, weight and compaction desired.

A 2.200 mm working width Pick-up

Crop press roller brings the hey to the packer, the wide pick up (2.200 m) is made of 4 elastic teeth ranks, ensuring a constant flow in every condition.

Variable Geometry

The variable Geometry allows to change the bale’s final pressing, giving the bale core the dimensions and characteristics desired. It can be preset mechanically, using the balancer regulation command, or electronically, choosing from a wide range of settings without even getting out of the tractor.

Variable chamber

The variable chamber allows deciding the final dimension of the bale.

Extreme 365 provides a range from 50 to 165 cm of diameter.

Drop floor

Drop floor can be operated from the tractor cab and allows a quick work restart: in case of flooding, the excess product can flow away easily through the drop floor.

QuickTronic

Machine’s computer matches the quicktronic function and the possibility to visualize several information about machine working conditions, for comfortable command management.

Wrapping systems

Extreme can be provided with different wrapping systems: twine, net or plastic film. 

5. Crop Protection

PRIMO

Fertilizer Spreader

Primo is the new electronic fertiliser spreader with weighing control made by Maschio Gaspardo: an innovative tool developed toensure maximum precision during distribution.

Available in 6 models, PRIMO is featured with hopper capacities from 1.270 to 3.130 liters and working widths 24 to 36 meters.

Precision and uniformity

Primo presents many innovations:

• Independent activation/stop of distribution;

• Independent electronic rate system;

• Double-shutter opening section, to limit “dose effect” (the reduction of uniformity in distribution, due to variation of kg/min of fertilizer).

• Electronic rate control with loading cell;

The double-shutter and the electronic dosage system allow a precise fertilizer distribution on the field.

High working capacity

The great hopper capacity (up to 3130 l as standard), easily increasable up to 3200 l by extensions, confers to Primo an outstanding working capacity.

Long lasting

We created Primo series with only the strongest, most durable components to ensure a long lasting precise spreader:

• Fertiliser-moving system, with spinning and rotating device;

• Stain-less spreading discs easy to replace and perfectly balanced in order to reduce vibrations;

• Thanks to the boundary spreading system you can spread with precision the desired rate even on fields heads and borders. Completely grease lubricated transmission (no maintenance);

• Heavy-duty frame: PRIMO is made in high tensile steels and multi-layer paint.

Mechanical model

Primo is also available in mechanical version, with manual rate system adjustment and hydraulic double-shutter opening section.

TSUNAMI

Self-propelled sprayer

Tsunami is the new Unigreen self-propelled sprayer, in worldwide preview at SIMA 2015.

Agility

Tsunami combines the benefits of a big tank with a stable and agile structure, equipped with an independent pneumatic suspension and coupling torsion: thanks to the 4 suspension system coupled to the thrust bearing, Tsunami ensures high stability on every condition.

High tensile steel frame

The Tsunami frame is made in high tensile steel; the basis of a long lasting and light sprayer. The chassis is divided in front and rear section, connected by a special bearing, and all his parts are connected with bolt. The frame design and the new independent air suspension ensures the smoothest of rides and minimize boom movement.

Big size for big achievements

Tsunami is a giant: 8,75 m long and 3,95 m tall, with tank capacity of up to 5.200 liters and boom up to 42 meters in width. Indeed, the ground clearance is remarkable (1,60 m) and allows to run even in advanced plant growth. Huge, but also very agile: the sprayer steers with an internal radius of about 3,75 m.

The Cab

Tsunami cares also to the safety of the operator, guaranteed by the new cab class. IV, with certificated ROPS structure: the cab is pressurized, to avoid accidental inhalation of the product.

Maschio-ATS

Powered by the FPT 250 HP Engine Stage IV FINAL, Tsunami features the unique MASCHIO-ATS system: a new exhaust gas-treatment device, developed by MASCHIO and approved by FPT.

CAMPO

Pull-type sprayer with parallelogram boom lifting

Campo represents the excellence of the trailed sprayer.

The range can satisfy the requirements of the most demanding of farmers: from the vegetable grower who needs a relatively long-range machine with low soil compaction, to the intensive farmer always looking to boost productivity interested in large tanks (up to 6.500 l) and wide booms (up to 32 m).

CAMPO 32P

CAMPO 32P was designed to satisfy different needs, with many configurations. Its main strength is the powerful parallelogram lifter (1.500 mm of range), dampened by a nitrogen accumulator system.

With this configuration, it is possible to match the machine to wider booms in the range, up to 28 m.

CAMPO 44

The 4.400 l tank of Campo 44 ensures high operative autonomy. The machine is generously equipped with standard high class components. It features a spraying computer which can easily manage up to 9 sections of water on 600 and 700 booms of the “ALA” range.

6. Bioenergy

TALPA

Self-propelled digestate/slurry applicator

Innovation

Digestate produced from silage corn, slurries or mixture, reveals a surprisingly high and valuable nutrient value (N-P-K- Ca-Mg-Mn, etc.). Its average nutrient content can totally or partially replace the mineral fertilisation. The correct application of this resource can thus bring important economic benefits to the farm, in order of some hundred euro for hectare.

The conventional spreader (e.g., pull-type) can run only on bare soil or at very early crop growth. Specially in autumn operations, the most soluble elements (nitrogen and lime) can be leached, polluting underground water table. The mineral fertilizations in next spring is thus needed to reach the yield potential.

Talpa is the revolution for digestate and animal slurry distribution on field. Thanks to ultra-high soil clearance, this self-propelled digestate/slurry applicator can run in row crops even in later stages of stem elongation improves dramatically the use efficiency of nutrients applied with organic effluents.

Identikit

Even though the big size, Talpa has an incredible inner steering radius of only 4 m, less than a city car! This means high maneuverability and low crop damages.

The secret? The combination of articulated frame and steering system on third axle! Moreover, the special hinging connection allows rotation on the vertical axle: the machine can adapt to most irregular soil profile.

The 3 axle configuration with 6 large diameter wheels reduces the soil compaction (only 2,8 kg/cm2 of load). The special hydrostatic power transmission has an emergency brake function that can stop at top speed (40 km/h) the full load machine in less than 15 m!

The 6 or 8 row distribution device has a high clearance frame (1.650 mm) to operate on tall plants. The grinding header spreads homogenously the semi-solid product in 6 or 8 rows.

The driving cab has a 180° panoramic windshield; the 2 m high driving position allows the best point of view even working on taller crops! The multi-control system on the right hand of the driver has a 12” touchscreen monitor, a joystick and a button console that allow to access to all functions of machine. The ECM isolation of electronic components is the result of particular care and testing. This feature prevents any failure under strong electromagnetic field.

A giant…featherweight

With Talpa, dimensions ARE important! The applicator is a giant: 9.5 m long, 2.5 m large and 4 m tall, for 26 tons of weight (full load).

Huge, but also very agile, Talpa steers with an internal radius of about 4 m; Talpa’s 6 drive wheels allow a specific pressure of just 2,8 kg/cm², to reduce trampling as much as possible.

Digestate: a “green” resource to be enhanced

The concept of Talpa is to exploit the full potential of biogas plants and, at the same time, meet the demands of the European Community concerning a more sustainable agricolture.

The possibility to distribute digestate even in the stages in which crops with great biomass (like maize, sorghumor, sunflower) are at the top of their efficiency and nutrient intake, allows a complete enhancement of the machine, that become a source of income for the plant.

SHUTTLE PREMIUM

3 axles barrel tank spreader

Shuttle is Visini’s top quality barrel tank, and summarizes all the product qualities the company has to offer.

Shuttle has an high load capacity but is also a compact machine, thanks to the tank carrier which lowers significantly the center of gravity, for a safer and more stable road transport.

Independent hydraulic system

Solenoids manage all the different functions, through display commands placed in the cab.

Advantages: all the functions are simplified, oil contamination risks are limited and hydraulic system overload is avoided.

Designed for professionals

Shuttle is distinguished by the load capacity, by the combination of new depressors (up to 36.300 l/min) and by an improved suction arm (up to 303 mm of internal diameter): these improvements allow Shuttle to reduce refilling times up to 50%, compared to traditional systems.

Three axles Shuttle is equipped with corrective steering and a brake assistance, which ensure full maneuverability, both on the road and on the field.

Matching equipment

The three point hitch allows to combine different kinds of equipment. In a single step it’s possible to distribute digestate and prepare the soil. The productivity of this combination generates high speed (about 10 km/h) and versatility.

Safety at first

Industrial axles are equipped with drum brakes (420 mm x 180 mm), to ensure full safety also with full loads and high speed. The wider contact surface ensure also a reduced braking distance.
