Additional features include bolted rubber rails for increased slip resistance and an optional retaining chain.
With the ‘TSZ-UNI-ET’, Probst is expanding its proven TSZ family with a device that is specially tailored to the requirements of the building materials trade and industry. The innovative extension enables quick and uncomplicated picking up and setting down with a forklift truck without the driver having to get out. The integrated insertion pocket significantly optimises and simplifies the work process.
Development based on customer requirements
The TSZ-UNI-ET was developed in response to specific customer requirements from the building materials trade. Previously, a separate, solid insert pocket had to be used for handling with forklift trucks, which often tipped over when the appliance was parked. To prevent this, a storage rack was required. However, this in turn complicated the work process.
The new solution integrates the insert pocket directly into the appliance, ensuring stable storage without the risk of tipping over - without the need for an additional rack. This makes the entire handling process much easier.
Functions and design highlights
The TSZ-UNI-ET is based on the proven technology of the TSZ-UNI and uses many of its components. One of the outstanding innovations is the simplified adjustment with engraved scales, which was introduced in all TSZ-UNI models from mid-2024.
A special feature is the integrated, hinged insert pocket, which has two rectangular cutouts (200 x 100 mm) for forklift tines. Thanks to the proven wave disc principle, the tongs can be aligned both lengthways and crossways to the insertion pocket. When parked, the insertion pocket rests stably on a platform on the tongs, preventing it from tipping over. To ensure increased slip resistance, the prong recesses are fitted with bolted rubber rails. A retaining chain is also available as an option for the TSZ-UNI-ET.
Customers confirm the benefits of the new solution:
‘With the tongs, we have simplified the picking of block steps enormously. The driver can do everything directly from the forklift,’ says Thomas Kegel, Gardening and Landscaping Consultant at the Westerhorstmann Construction Centre.
