New generation of cultivating units

A cultivating unit may have to work in difficult conditions. Thus, its robustness is decisive. Thanks, first to its reinforced parallelogram mounted on wider diameter shafts with its self-lubrificating bushes and second to its wide diameter front wheel (350 mm) mounted on monoblock reinforced bearings, the MULTICROP cultivating unit matches the requirements.

The easy adjustment has also been a priority during its development. Thus, this cultivating unit is equipped with a rapid and precise working depth adjustment by levers (7,5mm pitches). The cross parts have a single central screw and which allows to adjust the distance between the tines. This new cultivating unit is compatible with the front-mounted “inversed units” assembly (the cultivating unit is pushed instead of being pulled offering a more compact and precise frame than a traditional frontmounted assembly).

It also has exclusive equipments such as the down pressure springs (improve the penetration force of the unit on hard ground), the unit lift cylinders (units lift at fields ends) or the comb (for weed prevention).

18-row sugarbeet / 12-row maize frame

To meet wide configuration cultivating needs and to be adapted to planters, MONOSEM developed a new frame. It can be assembled with the new MULTICROP units and allows cultivating in 12-row at 65/70/75/76,2/80 cm and 18-row at 45/50/50,8 cm. Different versions are available to suit these inter-row spacings. The frame is composed of 5 parts, thus it is possible to fold the extremities to cultivate only 8 rows (maize) or 12 rows (sugarbeet). This means using only one cultivator for fields planted with planters of different widths. Two land wheels adjustable in length with wide 23x10,5 wheels and 4 guiding coulters stabilize the cultivator when working. When in transport, the cultivator's width is less than 3m00 thanks to the unit individual lift system.

A limited quantity will be available for Spring 2015. This MULTICROP range completes the MONOSEM cultivator offer.
