New range of trailer-mounted mixers from KUHN PROFILE RANGE

Big capacity with 2 vertical screws!

KUHN´s range of feed mixers and dispensers is set to grow in 2017, with the arrival of 26 new models with twin vertical screws: PROFILE 2.DL-CL- PLUS. These new models have been designed to meet the demands of farmers looking for trailer-mounted mixers offering exceptional performance and resistance to everyday wear-and- tear. The new mixers boast several features which set them apart from other tractor-drawn solutions currently available on the market:

• Unbeatable resistance, with two mixing screws made of K-NOX (3CR12 rust-resistant steel),

• Precise delivery, with patented 5-spring weighing system.

• Low power consumption thanks to the specially-shaped screws,

• Geometric design increases capacity by 3 to 5m 3 compared to other machines of the same height currently available on the market.

PROFILE 2.DL-CL- PLUS: a wide range of configurations!

• Volumes of 18 to 34 m 3 , for herds of up to 270 dairy cattle (depending on the fibre content).

• The PROFILE range is available in several configurations:

• DL Models: Direct feeding by chute or tiltable side conveyor,

• CL Models: Feed dispensed by belt conveyor (to be positioned on front or back),

• PLUS Models: With straw-blowing turbine.

• Wide range of feeding solutions to meet all situations. Two 800 mm and 1100 mm tilting conveyors are available for troughs. The positioning of the discharge spouts on the tank allow you to dispense feed left, right, front and back of the machine.

• A scalable solution: like all other mixers in the KUHN range, dual-screw PROFILE mixers can upgrade their capacity with hopper extensions.

PROFILE 2.DL-CL- PLUS: for industrial use!

• The mixing screws are made entirely of K-NOX. This rust-resistant steel extends their lifespan by minimising wear-and- tear caused by abrasion and corrosion from the feed. The surfaces of the threaded section, as well as the screw shaft, are all in K-NOX.

• The machine´s integrated chassis guarantees maximum resistance to withstand challenging road conditions. The patented 5-spring weighing system guarantees superior precision for the information provided by the KDW 341 weigh station, even when handling high quantities.

• For farmers working across multiple farms, the PROFILE 28, 30 and 34 m 3 models come with a bogie axle as standard (optional extra for other models). A  steering axle option is also available, giving users more room for manoeuvre.

PROFILE PLUS: The high-speed blowing solution!

• The VENTIDRIVE system allows you to match the performance of a traditional straw spreader. The patented asymmetric straw output hatch guarantees uniform suction of the straw inflow.

• The large diameter turbine provides enough peripheral speed to blow straw up to a distance of 18m.

• As an option, a swivel chute to access the left or right of the machine.
