New Series of Mid-Range Rotavators from the Originator

Kongskilde launches the Rotavator 2.500 in a completely new design at the Agritechnica 2015 in Hannover, Germany. The dynamic and stiffer design protects the drivelines against dirt. With the new QuickFit, the blades are replaced in seconds. Furthermore the heavy-duty version comes with a new and reinforced side drive for tractors up to 140 hp.

Focus on lower running costs, longer lifetime and the use of bigger tractors has initiated the big overhaul and lead to the Rotavator 2.500 series. The originator of the Rotavator expects the comprehensive redesign will reinforce their position as the leading supplier of rotary tillers.

Rotavators are used for a wide range of applications in farms, vineyards, orchards and for vegetable growing. The power tillage is ideal for mixing of even high amounts of residues and the crumbling from very coarse to very fine tillage, even under the toughest conditions like wet and stony soils. 

The new Rotavator 2.500 series covers a wide range of working widths and options:

-       The standard line R 2.500 for tractors up to 100 hp and working widths of 125 to 255 cm

-       The heavy-duty line R 2.500 HD for tractors up to 140 hp and working widths of 205 to 305 cm

New spacious design

The Rotavator 2.500 HD comes with an improved performance and capacity compared to the predecessor thanks to a completely new design, side drive gear and the patent pending QuickFit blades principle.

The heavy-duty version - Rotavator 2.500 HD - has an integrated and smooth design, where the strong visual identity reflects the special interior structure that ensures a good soil flow. The cross section of the frame body is more spacious. This allows use of thinner material but with significant more strength. Less dirt is collected on the implement and integration of the jackshaft in the spacious design – protecting the vital parts from dirt and overheating.

Heavy-duty side drive

The R 2.500 HD Rotavator comes with a new side drive that brings a new standard for reliability and ability to meet the power of bigger tractors. In the new side drive everything is integrated in a single gearbox, cast in one block.

QuickFit blades

Imagine the time you need to unscrew and screw 120 bolts in order to change 60 worn blades. Thanks to the new designed rotor with the new QuickFit blades principle (patent pending), each blade can be replaced in seconds leaving more time in the field.

The new standard

The new standard R 2.500 has chain side drive and is available in working widths from 125 to 255 cm.

All models in the standard line and heavy-duty line are available with the fine Selectatilth multi-speed gearbox for easy selection of the optimal tilling effect or highly efficient single speed gearboxes. R 2.500 HD is also available with a lever change gearbox for the ultimate conversion of power from the tractor to tillage.

The Rotavators R 2.500 and R 2.500 HD are offered with a number of different blades for various purposes, including the original carbide treated versions for longevity for lower running costs and longer periods between shift of blades.

The combinations of different trailing boards, depth control and rotors, gives the user the possibility to apply it in many different purposes. A range of different rear rollers is available to suit the various soil types.
