Penny Hydraulics at the Blancpain GT Series, Silverstone!

The Blancpain GT Series is mainly reserved for GT3 cars, applying the principles of Balance of Performance and driver categorisation system successfully developed by SRO. The series comprises titles of the Blancpain GT Series Winner for Drivers and for Teams. Points are awarded to eligible competitors and their drivers according to the overall results of all races counting towards the Blancpain GT Series.

It also includes titles for the Blancpain Sprint Series Cup for teams and drivers, Blancpain Silver Series Cup for teams and drivers, Blancpain Sprint Series Pro-Am Cup for teams and drivers and Blancpain Endurance Series Cup for teams and drivers in the Pro, Pro-Am and Am Categories.

Penny Hydraulics were delighted to be invited to the endurance series event at Silverstone on 24 th May as guests of Next Hydraulics, Italy who are the manufacturer of the popular Maxilift range of hydraulic cranes for pick-ups and trucks.

Penny Hydraulics and Next Hydraulics partnered to create the PH Maxilift Crane Range which was launched in April at the Commercial Vehicle Show and is already proving hugely popular in the UK marketplace.

Next Hydraulics are proud sponsors of one of the drivers in the competition and the Penny Hydraulics staff who attended the event thoroughly enjoyed it. Having so many car and motor sport enthusiasts in the company, it proved to be a fight for tickets! Everyone wanted to attend!

The new hydraulic crane range which is aimed at the 3.5 to 12 tonne commercial vehicle market is perfect for trucks and pickups. Cranes are available from .5 tm lifting capacity to 5.1tm with boom reaches up to 6.83 metres.

The hydraulic truck cranes are seriously lightweight, starting at just 74kg for the PH50 which is the smallest crane model. Weight being a key point in the decision process for commercial vehicle fleet managers sourcing vehicle mounted cranes, this puts Penny Hydraulics Maxilift PH Crane Range at a big advantage. PH Cranes help fleet managers maintain low vehicle emissions and excellent fuel economy.

It was excellent to be invited to such a prestigious event by Next Hydraulics and we look forward to combined business success on the PH Maxilift Crane project in the UK. The two companies are also drawing on each other’s experience and expertise on some exciting new projects…so watch this space!
