Perfect solution for any possible task: Holp offers next level of development of the RotoTop modular system

No matter, with or without a tilt, every company is able to integrate RotoTop within its existing machinery with the now enlarged modular system – and benefit from advantages. With the new production hall Holp GmbH will be able to produce not only higher quantities but also to work more customized.

Due to his practical experiences for decades and his long time working in developing and optimizing of rotary drives Günter Holp is fully convinced of the fact that pure rotation is sufficient for nearly all thinkable tasks and challenges on the building site. With using RotoTop excavators obtain greatest flexibility with the 360° endless rotation which provides very efficient workflows for all tasks on the site. The operator is able to move the attachment intuitively into the desired position. He can reach areas that are difficult to access and gets his work done much quicker, because the excavator has to be moved less often due to flexibility and agility gained by the rotary drive. Experience has shown that pure rotation is sufficient for about 95 percent of all purposes an excavator has to fulfil.

RotoTop as centre piece

However, some companies face special challenges for which they need a tilt, e.g. in the area of special civil engineering; or they do not want to give it up for other reasons. Others approach cautiously to the field of rotation and prefer to use a combination of RotoTop and tilt. To meet all the needs of customers throughout Europe Holp has now expanded the existing modular system and brought it to next level: The RotoTop always constitutes the centre piece, which is responsible for endless rotation. It can be used without tilt, be combined with tilt or even used in sandwich-combination with the quick-change system. With this modular system it is possible to find the perfect solution for all tasks by using all existing machines and attachments of a company. Like that, entrepreneurs can keep using their tilts and at the same time take advantage of endless rotation.

In future it will be even easier to react to special customer wishes and needs. At the moment, at the site in Swabian Murrhardt a brand-new production hall is being built. It will be ready for use in spring 2023 and offers best conditions for developments and production and makes it easy for the company to produce significantly higher amounts and customized constructions.

New solution with a flat construction

There are two possibilities for the modular system: If greater height and bigger working range is required, then the combination with tilt, which offers a working angle of 2 x 90°, is the first choice. This way of construction offers the maximum oil quantity for the continuous use of mulchers, moulders and plate compactors without thermic problems.

As an alternative solution for all those who need more power and therefore a flat construction to work with gripper arms or swivel buckets, Holp offers a construction with a working angle of 2 x 75° at the tilt. To obtain the flat construction which creates a difference of 10 cm for a nine-tons-excavator, Holp found a new solution: There is no distribution block so that the oil is directly lead through the mounting bracket.

The biggest setup can be the so-called sandwich-solution with tilt and quick-changer which acts as an extension of the excavator’s arm and can be very helpful for special needs e.g. in canal construction. This way, the excavator offers the full flexibility and a maximum working range, but also has to take the price of losing the power of about two excavator sizes.

No matter which solution is chosen at the end, RotoTop always increases efficiency and productivity on the site. Also, after using the rotary drive for some time, machine operators will get to the conclusion that pure rotation will match the needs of the work in most situations – and that by the modular system, it is easy to adapt to all kinds of special situations.
