Sandvik Mobile Crushing and Screening has introduced the QH443E electric-driven cone plant as part of its latest electric crushers and screens, enhancing sustainability and productivity. This plant features diesel/electric generator-based drivetrain technology, OptikTM automation, and the Sandvik CH440 Hydrocone crusher, offering up to 25% fuel savings and a 78% reduction in oil usage compared to older models. The QH443E is part of Sandvik’s complete electric train series, which includes the UJ443E electric jaw crusher and the QA452e hybrid Doublescreen, all designed for flexibility in energy use by operating via an external electricity supply or onboard gensets. This advancement in electric-driven technology aims to improve sustainability in aggregate production, quarries, and mining, combining safety and reduced costs. Update: Three weeks to go until Bauma!

Wacker Neuson, a heavy machinery manufacturer, will be showcasing its new range of reversible battery-powered vibratory plates, APU28 and APU33, at Bauma 2025. These plates, featuring centrifugal forces of 28 and 33 kilonewtons, respectively, are available in working widths of 40, 50, and 60 centimeters and are designed for efficient power transfer and reduced maintenance through the DireX direct drive system. The new vibratory plates are powered by Battery One, which is compatible with various Wacker Neuson equipment and other brands. In addition to these innovations, Wacker Neuson will introduce conventionally powered center plates, including the DPU52, DPU62, BPU52, and BPU62, with a compaction performance between 52 and 62 kilonewtons.
