Steel construction and contract manufacturing – emerging areas at Rädlinger!

Heavy-goods vehicles often leave the Rädlinger premises in Windischbergerdorf in Cham. Loaded with overlong and large steel structures, it means the low-loader driver has some precision work ahead. It is staff from the steel construction and contract manufacturing departments who create such large items, along with smaller steel products. For over 12 years now, they have been an important pillar for Rädlinger Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH, alongside construction machine equipment.

Within the region and beyond, Rädlinger Stahlbau has since made a name for itself as a competent partner for technically and architecturally sophisticated steel structures. "Our customers appreciate in particular the fact that we offer services other than just manufacturing, and which indeed go as far as end-to-end project management," said head of the department, Johann Kagermeier. From the outset, the steel-construction team supports its clients with the planning, and delivers turnkey construction projects.

The range of services of the DIN EN 1090 certified welding operation is broad: the modern and well-equipped machine park covers an area of 12,000 square metres and opens up many possibilities. Together with the know-how of its qualified employees, it can thus guarantee excellent results not only in the specialised areas of steel structural engineering, bridge-building and the construction of noise barriers, but also with special structures, in accordance with individual needs and requirements.

The same also applies to the contract manufacturing department, which helps small businesses and large industrial facilities at times of bottlenecks and excess burdens on machinery and personnel, by delivering piece work, initial batches and small batches, all the way through to series production. "Our machinery, know-how and the large warehouse inventory of plate metal allow us to fulfil orders quickly and flexibly," said head of department Andreas Heining. The clients are from a variety of sectors, such as construction, agriculture, the automotive industry and the goods- or scrap-handling industry. Rädlinger customises welded mechanical components for them using mechanical processing methods, or delivers complete solutions in the field of sheet metal – from design through to manufacturing and assembly. The spectrum of orders ranges from simple welded frames to high-quality components for construction machinery and forestry vehicles – such as stems, compact booms and undercarriages – all the way through to modules for drilling rigs and components for biomass power stations. The thing that links all manufactured components is the high demand for precision, to which staff from both departments apply themselves every day.
