Success for Alimak Hek at the 2014 Bauma China exhibition

Alimak Hek had a successful four days at the Bauma China trade exhibition, with the launch of two new construction hoist models. The new ALIMAK SC 65/32 and SC 45/30 were well received, with numerous orders secured with Chinese and international construction companies.

Alimak Hek showcased new and proven vertical access models at Bauma China, a leading international trade exhibition for construction machinery, vehicles and equipment. Held from 25-28 November 2014 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China, the event brought together more than 3,100 exhibitors and 190,000 visitors from over 150 countries.

During the four-day exhibition, Alimak Hek introduced two new construction hoist models: the ALIMAK SC 65/32 and the ALIMAK SC 45/30. Available in a single or dual car configuration, both hoists offer payload capacities of 2,000 kg per car, and hoist car sizes of up to 1.5 x 3.2 m. The SC 65/32 and 45/30 are available with DOL (Direct-On-Line) or FC (Frequency Control) drive, through a highly efficient helical gearbox system.

“We received an overwhelming number of requests for quotations on the new ALIMAK SC 65/32 hoist during the exhibition, many of which are now confirmed orders”, explains Pepe Olguin, Head of Business Area Construction at Alimak Hek. 

“Interest in the hoists came predominantly from Chinese companies and international companies working in new and emerging markets. This new hoist design provides great value for our customers, using quality, high-strength materials that ensure low energy consumption, improved running efficiency and less wear for low total cost of ownership.”

“The Alimak SC 65/32 and SC 45/30 are specially designed to target the needs of emerging international markets, such as China. For our European customers, a similar hoist concept with low total ownership costs is currently being launched in Scandinavia, with introduction into other European countries to follow shortly.”

In addition to debuting the new ALIMAK SC 65/32 and 45/30 hoist models, Alimak Hek also provided demonstrations on the popular Alimak modular construction hoist system, the Hek medium range of mast climbing work platforms and light transport platforms, as well as the ALIMAK SL 400 service elevator.

Visitors were invited to test the access systems on Alimak Hek’s exhibition display tower. A client event was also organised in which participants were invited on a private tour of Alimak Hek’s factory in Changshu, followed by a site visit to experience Alimak hoists in use on a construction project in Shanghai.
