For the Agritechnica show HORSCH launches to the market the latest addition in large cultivator technology with the Terrano 12 FM. HORSCH thus makes allowance for the tractor power that has increased in recent years. The 12.5m wide 4-bar cultivator can fold to a transport width of 3 m, the frame height is 600 mm. There will also be a version that folds to 3.6 m with a frame height of 800 mm for markets where the transport width is not limited. The Terrano 12 FM is equipped with the TerraGrip III tine of the Focus TD with a release force of 550 kg. The cultivator has 45 tines with a tine spacing of 27 cm and 108 cm inter row spacing. It is ideal for shallow stubble cultivation and tillage. Mixing is very intensive and levelling is excellent as the tines stay in the soil for a long time and take soil with them. The spacing of 108 cm in the row allows for an excellent passage of the soil and due to the tine spacing of 27 cm the horsepower requirement of the Terrano 12 FM, despite its large working width, is relatively low even when carrying out deeper tillage.
HORSCH recommends a tractor power between 430 and 600 hp. A row of levelling discs behind the tines guarantees a perfect levelling in front of the packer. The middle chassis is similar to that of the Joker 12 RT and there is a double RollPack packer for efficient consolidation.
