LiuGong North America is proving that high-performance electric construction equipment isn’t just a concept—it’s a field-proven reality ready for North American contractors. From zero-emission wheel loaders to BEV excavators, the 13-machine lineup delivers uptime, reliability, and total cost-of-ownership advantages for infrastructure, quarry, and urban construction projects.

Building on its 13-machine North American launch, LiuGong is showcasing a matured Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) lineup at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 under the theme TOUGH CUSTOMERS. TOUGH EQUIPMENT. Designed to eliminate maintenance hurdles and maximize fleet longevity, this global-standard portfolio brings proven technology to North American job sites.

The global flagship of this movement is the 856HE Wheel Loader, currently setting durability records worldwide. In the United Kingdom, a test model surpassed 19,900 hours of continuous operation in heavy-use conditions, confirming sustained performance and battery health. By extending service life while reducing operating costs, the 856HE is proving that BEV technology is a reliable solution for contractors and fleet owners across diverse markets.

“Our leadership in electric transformation is rooted in respect for the fundamentals of the jobsite,” said Luo Guobing, President and Vice Chairman of LiuGong. “We have moved beyond the theoretical to provide a matured, global standard for electric power that protects the operator’s time and the owner’s capital. By simplifying machine architecture, we are not just reducing emissions; we are increasing reliability and uptime across the fleet.”

The BEV lineup also includes the 922FE Excavator, the 820TE Loader, and the CPD30-FH lithium-ion fork trucks, capable of a full shift on a single charge with a rapid two-hour recharge. Multiple autonomous models are nearing production, designed for 24/7 operational capability and further reductions in total cost of ownership.

“True innovation is measured by the hours a machine spends on the jobsite, not in the shop,” added Andrew Ryan, President of LiuGong North America. “From the 19,900-hour milestone of the 856HE to the arrival of autonomous solutions, we are building technology tough enough for the dirt and smart enough to stay out of the way of deadlines. Contractors and fleet managers can count on consistent uptime and predictable operating costs.”
