To demonstrate this steinexpo provides the ideal environment. Under demanding conditions, customers, dealers and industry partners can see first-hand how LiuGong machines perform in quarrying, material handling and heavy earthmoving applications.

This approach also reflects LiuGong’s wider strategy around Total Globalisation, Total Intelligence and Total Solutions: investing closer to customers, developing intelligent and electrified technologies, and providing machines and solutions configured around real applications.

Nine machines – one commitment: performance in practice

For LiuGong, steinexpo is far more than a traditional product showcase. The company is exhibiting nine machines, including a significant range of battery-electric equipment, demonstrating its capabilities across quarrying, mining and material handling. High-performance diesel technology remains an important part of the portfolio. The 952F crawler excavator, designed for demanding quarrying, mining and demolition applications, has an operating weight of 52 tonnes and is powered by a 298 kW Cummins Stage V engine. Its electro-hydraulic control technology combines productivity, controllability and operator comfort.

Intelligent technology for demanding applications

LiuGong’s Total Intelligence strategy is represented at steinexpo through its growing range of battery-electric equipment and intelligent machine technologies. Highlights include the DR50CE electric dump truck and 4280DE electric motor grader. The fully electric DR50CE offers a 50-tonne payload and up to 1200 kW peak power for demanding mining, tunnelling and quarrying operations. The 4280DE combines precise grading capability with zero-emission operation.

LiuGong is also continuing to expand its battery-electric wheel loader range. The 41-tonne 8110TE represents the flagship of the portfolio, while the 870HE and 848TE bring electric technology into a wider range of quarrying, recycling and material-handling applications. Practical experience gained from customers already operating LiuGong electric equipment continues to feed back into product development. The new 890T provides a high-performance diesel alternative, while the compact 820T and electric 820TE demonstrate how the portfolio extends into smaller applications and attachment-based work.

Total Solutions: configured around the application

For LiuGong, the machine itself is only part of the solution. Its Total Solutions approach starts with the customer’s application. Machine configuration, attachments, powertrain, operating environment and service requirements are considered together to provide equipment suited to the job. At steinexpo, this approach can be seen across solutions for quarrying, aggregates, material handling, recycling, infrastructure, earthmoving and demolition. Working with dealers, application specialists and customers, LiuGong can tailor machines and attachments around different materials, duty cycles and operating requirements. The objective is simple: the right machine, correctly configured for the application and properly supported throughout its working life.

60 years of wheel loader expertise

2026 marks 60 years since LiuGong began developing and manufacturing wheel loaders. Starting with the Z435 in 1966, six decades of continuous development have created a wheel loader range operating around the world. Today, more than 600,000 LiuGong wheel loaders are in operation globally, with more than 30,000 machines produced annually. This experience provides the foundation for the next generation of LiuGong machines combining robust engineering with electric powertrains, intelligent technologies and solutions developed around real customer applications.

Don’t promise – just prove it

The principle behind LiuGong’s steinexpo presentation is straightforward: performance must be demonstrated in practice.Visitors can see the machines working under load, discuss their applications with product specialists, dealers and service teams, and understand the support available behind the product.

Howard Dale, President of LiuGong Europe, explains: “Customers hear many promises these days. What really matters is what a machine actually delivers in practice. That is why steinexpo is so important to us. Customers can see our machines working, speak directly with the people behind them and judge the performance for themselves. Our strategy is about much more than bringing machines to Europe. We want to combine LiuGong’s global scale and engineering capability with strong local knowledge and support.”

Investing in Germany and across Europe

 Total Globalisation for LiuGong means investing across the value chain and building capability closer to its customers. Germany and the wider DACH region are central to this strategy. LiuGong is strengthening its local team, dealer and service network and is planning a new European R&D and Innovation Centre in Germany.

The centre will connect LiuGong’s global engineering capability more closely with European customers and applications, with a particular focus on advanced hydraulics, semi-autonomous and autonomous machine design solutions. It will also provide an important link between European customer experience, local engineering requirements and LiuGong’s global R&D organisation.

Howard Dale adds: “Europe is an important long-term market for LiuGong. Our investment in Germany is about putting more capability closer to our customers – not only sales and service but increasingly engineering and innovation.

“The new R&D and Innovation Centre will give us greater capability in areas such as advanced hydraulics and semi-autonomous and autonomous machine solutions, while connecting our European customers more directly with LiuGong’s global engineering resources. This is what Total Globalisation means for us: global capability, increasingly delivered locally.”

For Matthias Mähler, Country Manager for the DACH region at LiuGong, steinexpo demonstrates the complete organisation behind the machine: “Customers here are not simply looking for an off-the-shelf machine.
