With the TS 7850 model, FELLA offers a dual-rotor side rake with a working width of 7.80 m to 8.40 m for deposits of one and two swaths. CamCONTROL – the hydraulic cam track adjustment system – ensures maximum ground clearance at the headland when raising the rotors.
With the TS 7850 model, FELLA offers a dual-rotor side rake with a working width of 7.80 m to 8.40 m for high demands. Using this rake, it is possible to deposit two small swaths, one large swath or a double swath by making a return pass. The switchover can be performed easily and within seconds.
With CamControl, FELLA's new cam track adjustment system, turning at the end of the field is possible without touching the return swaths, and without changing the entire construction of the rake. CamControl optimises the timing for lifting the tine arms into the horizontal deposit position when raising the rotors. In this way, the tines in the inner area under the frame of the rake are adjusted to the maximum lifting height. However, at the same time, the rake maintains its low centre of gravity and therefore enables safe turning and fast work. If there is still contact with the high transverse swath, the tine is not in raking position and glides through the swath without taking any forage with it. Thanks to the intelligent control of the hydraulic cylinder, CamControl is actuated and the rotors are raised at the same time.
The adjustment system for the cam track, CamControl, greatly increases the ground clearance of the rake. The rapid response also enables fast driving at the end of the field. The speed of the tractor does not have to be reduced, as a large ground clearance can be achieved immediately. Thanks to the overall low centre of gravity, it is possible to drive safely, even on uneven terrain, which is an enormous help for the modern-day farmer. In this way, CamControl brings even more efficiency into the harvesting chain.
The TS 7850 also has integrated the newly developed TS 5-rake head. The tine arms come with maintenance-free precision ball roller bearings, and this reduces the maintenance requirement for the new rake head to a minimum and saves valuable time during the forage harvest. Another feature of the new head is the solid, large-dimensioned bearing tubes of the rotor arms. With a large distance between bearings, this key component is designed for extremely high loads and harsh working conditions. Customers are impressed by the stability of the tine arm housing, which is precision manufactured from aluminium alloy. As with all rake heads from FELLA, an impressive feature of the new rake head is the enclosed design that reliably protects all of the important components against dirt and dust.
In addition to the fully cardanic rotor suspension, the side rake is characterised by its standard six-wheel contact-sensing chassis with tandem axles. It enables optimal ground following at all times. The longitudinal and transverse inclination can also be variably set on all rotors. This ensures that contamination of the forage is prevented. Because of automatic lift limitation in the headland position, it is not necessary to switch off the rotors.
