Trane Sintesis™ Air-Cooled Chillers Available to Help Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Ingersoll Rand continues to carry out its Climate Commitment with the latest advancement in the Trane Sintesis™ product portfolio. On June 15, the Trane®Sintesis™ air-cooled chiller became available to customers in Europe, the Middle East, North and Latin America.

"With the availability of the new, expanded Sintesis chiller portfolio, we are acting on our commitment to significantly increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact from our operations and product portfolio by 2020,” said Dave Regnery, president, Commercial HVAC North America and EMEA strategic business unit (SBU).“Through this portfolio, we now offer building owners and businesses more choices regarding how and when to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which demonstrates our leadership in the industry.”

Sintesis is part of our EcoWise™ Portfolio, a group of products designed to lower its environmental impact with next-generation, low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and high-efficiency operation. It offers customers a safe, efficient alternative to address their sustainability objectives. The EcoWise portfolio is one element of how we continue to uphold our Climate Commitment.

Ingersoll Rand’s Climate Commitment pledged to significantly increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact from our operations and product portfolio by 2020. We also vowed to invest over 500 million dollars in product- related research and development to long- term reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. The Trane Sintesis chiller falls directly in line with our progressive endeavor to help save the planet.

Besides offering our customers a choice of refrigerants, the Sintesis chiller portfolio also uses up to 40 percent less refrigerant than chillers with traditional technology.  With its noise reduction and acoustic packages, Sintesis delivers among the quietest operations in the market. And every Sintesis chiller comes standard with next-generation integrated Trane controls that offer a simple user interface for efficiency and performance advantages.
