Lehnhoff's fully hydraulic SQ changers: top performance thanks to symmetrically arranged valves Head

Lehnhoff's fully hydraulic Symmetric Quickcouplers (SQ) combine top performance and flexible working with maximum oil flow. Most attachments and buckets can be rotated 180° and work with minimum line drop. Three variants with matching adapter frames are available: SQ60 (excavator class: 8 to 18 t), SQ70 (excavator class: 18 to 28 t) and SQ80 (excavator class: 25 to 43 t). With SQ90 and SQ120, two further variants are also planned.

The robust, low-maintenance SQ quickcouplers are based on the open S industry standard. Although Lehnhoff offers them mechanically (SQM) and hydraulically (SQH), he company focuses on the fully hydraulic variant for a digital automated future.

Lehnhoff SQ quick-change system allows fast switches without breaks between shears, grippers, hammers, pulverisers, deep-digging, screening or sorting buckets from the cabin by the machine operator.

Up to 550 litres of oil flow per minute

Like the S standard, the valve block with short-stroke valve technology is symmetrically designed, allowing attachments such as swing or crusher buckets to be operated hydraulically even in high-bucket mode.

The Lehnhoff SQ models have the highest oil flow rate of all symmetrical couplers on the market. With 550 litres per minute and no increased back pressure, attachments can be used without any significant loss of power.

Valve technology convinces demolition company

This was the main reason why the Dutch demolition company Ripping B.V. opted for two fully hydraulic Lehnhoff SQ 80s in 2020.  "Thanks to Lehnhoff's short-stroke valve technology, we can finally work without increased counterpressure. We are saving fuel enormously," says a delighted Ripping managing director Cees Ripping.

SQ60, SQ70 and SQ80 offer safe locking and the Lehnhoff Safety Control (LSC) safety system as standard.

There are cross-manufacturer SQ adapters for each attachment:

- Adapter frame for bucket conversion

- Screw adapters for hydraulic attachments

- Grab adapters for suspended grabs

Valve block extremely easy to maintain

Changing attachments with the SQ couplers is a matter of seconds. Arthur Polak, co-owner of the Dutch dealer DemTech, has already received a lot of satisfied customer feedback from demolition, recycling and civil engineering:  "For installation, thanks to the integrated depressurised unit (BiD), I only have to connect the valve block to the hydraulic hoses and place the panel of the Lehnhoff Safety Control in the cabin." Maintenance is simpler, he adds: "An excavator operator does the daily cleaning of the valve block in seconds. And changing a valve and sealing ring also only takes a few minutes."

Due to the unique symmetrical valve arrangement, most hydraulic attachments can also be operated rotated by 180°.<br>IMAGE SOURCE: Lehnhoff Hartstahl GmbH

Work more economically, efficiently and safely

Lehnhoff's Symmetric Quickcouplers are bringing the highest efficiency and maximum occupational safety to the construction site ensuring maximum investment security and lasting economic advantages. With the SQ60, SQ70 and SQ80 models, operating costs are significantly reduced: Equipment and personnel are used more effectively, and machines and attachments are protected, as they are always be used as intended thanks to quick changeovers.
