Assistance functions for greater productivity and safety

Bosch Rexroth AG has expanded its BODAS ecosystem by introducing two systems aimed at enhancing productivity, safety, and efficiency in heavy machinery: the Collision Avoidance System (CAS) and Kinematic Position Sensing (KPS). The CAS, which employs radar, ultrasound, and smart cameras, effectively prevents collisions by detecting up to 40 objects and using up to 12 sensors for ultrasound detection, in compliance with ISO standards. Meanwhile, KPS uses inertial measurement units to accurately sense machine movements, forming a foundation for partial automation. Groundbreaking Hardox® wear plate for construction, mining and quarrying with virtually zero fossil carbon emissions debuts at bauma 2025

SSAB showcased their latest innovation, the Hardox® 450 wear plate made from SSAB Zero™ steel, at the Bauma 2025 event.
