The Wirtgen Group, in partnership with John Deere, will present 45 world premières and innovations at bauma 2025 under the theme 'Smarter. Safer. More sustainable.' Held on a 13,000 m² booth, the event will feature eight production systems for road construction, earthmoving, and materials processing, with around 100 machines on display and nine live shows offering insights into smart machines and digital technologies. Key highlights include new machinery such as Wirtgen’s W 250 XF milling machine, Vögele's SUPER 1803-5 X-Tier paver, and Hamm’s automated compaction models. The Wirtgen Group is also contending for the bauma Innovation Award in the categories of ‘Climate Protection’ and ‘Digitalisation’, showcasing systems like the Production System for a Construction Site with Zero Local Emissions and ‘Smart Automation in Roadbuilding’. The Technology Zone will demonstrate the John Deere Operations Center™ and Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker (WPT) for improved project management and process efficiency. Production System for a Construction Site with Zero Local Emissions
The Wirtgen Group has developed a modular production system for road construction sites that achieve zero local emissions, enhancing profitability and reducing environmental impact. This innovative system features battery-electric machinery such as cold milling machines, road pavers, and tandem rollers, with drive systems developed in collaboration with Kreisel Electric. The Kleemann MR 100i NEOe mobile impact crusher operates with an electric drive and can use alternative HVO100 fuel when necessary, while Benninghoven's burner uses green hydrogen for near CO2-free asphalt production. These technologies are centrally managed via the John Deere Operations Center™ for real-time efficiency tracking. The system, which offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution with reduced noise and operational costs, positions the Wirtgen Group at the forefront of sustainable construction and has been nominated for the Bauma Innovation Award 2025 in the “Climate protection” category. JLG expands its product portfolio with the new PLT series
JLG expands its product portfolio with the new PLT series, which includes two portable light towers. These offer a compact, lightweight and portable alternative for temporary lighting on construction sites and at events. The 45-PLT and 95-PLT-M models are energy efficient thanks to LEDs, reduce CO2 emissions and offer an adjustable working height of up to 4.4 m. The 45-PLT delivers 45,000 lumens and is suitable for smaller sites, the 95-PLT-M with 95,000 lumens for larger sites. Both models are environmentally friendly and can be used easily in demanding environments, making them ideal for construction companies and rental companies. JLG has developed the new models in Europe to meet specific customer requirements.
