Nurol Construction’s four new Raimondi LR213 luffers installed in Dubai on luxury beachfront development

Nurol Construction Co., part of the Nurol Group of Companies (Nurol), took delivery of four new Raimondi LR213 luffing jib cranes in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Raimondi Cranes Middle East mobilized three teams for the offload, assembly and installation of the new cranes, now at work onsite at the Beach Vista luxury development by Emaar. The development, scheduled for completion August 2021, is situated on an exclusive private island planned to have 27 residential towers overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Read more >>

Lifting at the limit: Demag® AC 500-8 all terrain crane lifts chimney liner at Munich cogeneration plant

With this job, literally every centimeter counted: On behalf of Munich City Utilities, AKM Autokranvermietung lifted a chimney liner weighing 19 t into the existing chimney of a cogeneration plant in the Freimann district of Munich. With a required lifting height of 119 m, crane operator Klaus Kellner fully exploited the allowable capacity of his Demag® AC 500-8 crane. Read more >>

Visit in the run-up to Ligna 2019: Liebherr wheel loader L 580 LogHandler XPower® impresses at Ilim Timber Bavaria

At Ligna 2019, Liebherr will be showcasing the L 580 LogHandler XPower® special wheel loader, developed for timber handling. For the first time, the group is presenting two new equipment options for this machine: Firstly, new intuitive joystick steering and secondly, an operator's cab without a steering wheel. With no steering wheel or steering column, but with joystick steering, the cab offers even more space and an optimised view of the working attachment. The L 580 LogHandler XPower® with power-split drive has been available on the market for around two years. Successful re-use for Herrenknecht borer in The Hague

In The Hague, a refurbished tunnel boring machine (Mixshield, Ø 11,340 mm) has successfully excavated the twin tubes of the Victory Boogie Woogie Tunnel. After only 12 months, in January 2019 the final breakthrough took place near the city center of the Dutch coastal city. With a length of around 1,600 meters per tube, the tunnel section built using mechanized tunnelling technology is the centerpiece of Rotterdamsebaan, the largest infrastructure project in The Hague. Daimler Trucks establishes global organization for highly automated driving

Daimler Trucks brings together global expertise and activities for trucks with automated driving in the Autonomous Technology Group, effective June 1, 2019. Dr. Peter Vaughan Schmidt to head the Autonomous Technology Group. New unit to implement Daimler Trucks’ effort to put highly automated trucks (SAE level 4) onto the roads within a decade, investing more than EUR 500 million (around USD 570 million). Martin Daum, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG responsible for Trucks & Buses: “We are the pioneer for automated trucks.
