Hitachi presents medium crawler excavators with a difference at bauma
Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) and KTEG showcased five medium crawler excavator models ranging from 13 to 35 tonnes at bauma 2025 in Germany, highlighting advancements in safety, versatility, and stability. Key models included the ZX210LC-7, featuring Europe's first collision mitigation machine control system, and the ZX135US-7B, which offered enhanced versatility with a two-piece boom and HIOS hydraulic system for improved fuel efficiency. The ZX225USLC-7, equipped for confined spaces with an ultra-short swing radius, was presented by German dealer Kiesel. The KTEG 375USLC model was noted for its adaptability in urban environments with options such as a two-piece boom and blade, making it ideal for diverse construction projects. Volvo's gas-powered trucks on the rise – enabling up to 100% CO2 reduction
Volvo Trucks has reported a significant increase in demand for its gas-powered trucks, with sales rising over 25% in 2024, totaling over 8,000 units globally. These trucks, available in FM, FH, and FH Aero models, are particularly popular in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK due to their ability to offer up to 100% CO2 reduction when run on biogas. The trucks can also switch seamlessly between biogas and LNG, covering distances up to 1,000 kilometers. With a focus on reducing emissions, Volvo's gas-powered trucks are aligned with a strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, incorporating battery-electric, fuel-cell electric, and renewable fuel combustion engine technologies. Low noise meets zero operating emissions: The new electric pavers from Vögele
Joseph Vögele AG, a part of Wirtgen Group, unveiled its first fully-electric compact road paver, the SUPER 1300-5e, at bauma 2025, a major construction machinery trade fair. This innovative paver, equipped with a 126 kWh liquid-cooled Li-ion battery from Kreisel Electric, is designed for zero operating emissions with a focus on sustainability and noise reduction, making it ideal for urban and sensitive construction sites. Alongside this, Vögele also introduced the MINI 500e and MINI 502e battery-electric mini pavers, offering a choice of two battery options to accommodate different operational needs. Vögele’s new generation, known as the Dash 5, incorporates advanced technologies such as the ErgoPlus 5 operating concept, new automation systems, and efficient battery charging solutions, promising enhanced performance and ease of use in achieving carbon neutrality in road construction projects. Hi-Vision System: AI enhances Dieci rotating telehandlers
DIECI has introduced the Hi-Vision System, an AI-driven vision technology for rotating telehandlers, enhancing safety and operational precision. Launched at bauma 2025, the system features six high-definition cameras, three Lidar units, and robust control hardware to provide real-time alerts, people, and obstacle detection up to 30 meters, and equipment docking assistance. It is implemented across the Pegasus Elite range, including models like the Pegasus 100.29, Pegasus 70.35, and Pegasus 60.40, which boast capacities of 10,000 kg, 7,000 kg, and 6,000 kg, respectively, with lifting heights ranging from 29 to 40 meters.
