2016 Balance Sheet – Antonio Carraro Tractors: In Perfect Health

Antonio Carraro of Campodarsego, world leader in compact tractors for specialised agriculture (vineyards and orchards), closed its books in 2016 with a turnover of more than 83 million Euro with an Ebitda close to 10% and a net profit of 2 million Euro; one of the best economic outcomes of the sector. The compact tractors, thanks to their uniqueness and their technical characteristics, have no rivals in the market: a production of “Made to Measure” tractors with 40 basic models available in 80 different versions. Exports, making up more than 50%, performed excellently in France, the Iberian Peninsular, Turkey, Iran, South America, Canada, California and China. Orders have been continuing to come in during the first few months of 2017 and are up by around 30% on the same period in 2016. A growth in turnover of more than 5% is forecast for the whole of 2017 with a predicted Ebitda of more than 10%.

Marcello Carraro, MD, is delighted with the results and the subsequent strengthening of the financial situation after the increase in capital at the end of 2016, thanks to the entrance of the Gruppo Melleuno Imoco, which will allow the five-year strategic plan (2017-2021) to be undertaken safely and securely. This will give a strong push to the company orientated towards the constant innovation of its range of tractors for specialised agriculture and civil maintenance (public, private and sporting green areas, roadways and street cleaning).

Right from the start of 2017 there is the plan to begin an investment programme, regarding, on the one hand, the strengthening of production, both in terms of human resources and machine technology, while at the same time reinforcing the commercial structure and internal control system, including branch management in Turkey, Spain, France and Oceania.
