Double Lock and Lehnhoff Safety Control improve work safety on construction sites.

Lehnhoff Hartstahl provides two systems for even more safety on the construction site: Depending on the excavator class and whether it is a hydraulic or fully hydraulic quickcoupler, Lehnhoff offers the assistance system Lehnhoff Safety Control or the safety system Double Lock.

Double Lock is equipped with an additional safety claw and thus offers double locking. In addition to the two locking bolts, an additional claw engages in the shaft and thus additionally prevents attachments from falling down. Double Lock is integrated as standard in all Lehnhoff hydraulic quickcouplers for excavators in the 0.5 to 38 tonne weight class (HS01 to HS25) and in all fully hydraulic quickcouplers for excavators in the 6 to 40 tonne weight class (HS08V to HS21V).

The Lehnhoff Safety Control (LSC) assistance system is a pioneering safety solution that goes beyond all common safety standards. The correct pick-up and locking are permanently checked by sensors. Lehnhoff has already integrated LSC as standard in its fully hydraulic quickcouplers for excavators from 2 to 6 tonnes (HS03V), from 40 to 130 tonnes (HS40V to HS80V) and for its SQ quickcouplers.

An important plus in health and safety measures

Double Lock sets new safety standards. "If the excavator operator starts the locking process of the hydraulic quickcoupler, the additional safety claw automatically engages the adapter shaft. That prevents the attachment from falling down at any position of the quickcoupler," describes Lehnhoff marketing manager Rainer Matz. "If there is an unexpected failure of the locking, the Double Lock safety claw guarantees the attachment stays connected."

Additionally, LSC brings more safety to the construction site with the fully hydraulic quickcouplers. Several sensors constantly monitor the correct fitting of the quickcoupler in his adapter, the correct locking pin position and even the wear limit of the adapter and quickcoupler.

The engine driver is continuously well informed via the display in the driver's cab. In the event of a failure of the adapter or locking mechanism, an audible and visual warning signal is warning. A green light indicates correct seating. In everyday work, this intuitive traffic light control system of the Lehnhoff Safety Control is convincing on the spot.

More safety, less time

Changing attachments with Double Lock on the hydraulic quickcouplers, however, is not slowed down. Also, no special preparation and accurate placement of the attachments are necessary. "Thanks to the central mounting of the safety claw on the quickcoupler and the adapted geometry of the outer quickcoupler claws can be very easily inserted into the shaft of the adapter plate, even if the attachments are out of alignment", explains Lehnhoff product manager Sebastian Denniston.

Lehnhoff Safety Control (LSC) for fully hydraulic quickcouplers makes the locking process not only safer, but also easier. Unintentional triggering of the coupling process is ruled out. This combines the greatest possible flexibility with maximum comfort.
