The Ambassador of Denmark to Spain, Lone Dencker Wisborg, visited the ROCKWOOL Group’s Spanish manufacturing facilities in Caparroso. The event took place as part of an ongoing collaboration between the Danish Embassy and Danish companies operating in Spain, through which the Danish government is seeking to offer support to its established overseas companies in the coming years.
During the visit, the Ambassador was accompanied by Business Unit Director of ROCKWOOL in Spain and Portugal, Pedro Luis Fernandez-Cano, and Director of the ROCKWOOL insulation manufacturing plant in Caparroso, Santiago Oses. “Given that Denmark is the EU’s only self-sufficient country in terms of energy production, it is important that our Spanish operations maintain a similarly stringent attitude towards social responsibility”, stressed Santiago Oses.
The ROCKWOOL Spain Caparroso plant, which specialises in stone wool insulation solutions, is currently a landmark facility for eco-efficiency and sustainability practices in its sector, both in the Navarrese business community and on the national spectrum.
Following the visit to the ROCKWOOL Spain plant in Caparroso, the Danish Ambassador was able to meet the President of Navarre, Yolanda Barcina, with officials from the General Administration of Industry, Energy and Innovation, to learn more about newly implemented projects and programs in the Navarre region centered on renewable energies and energy efficiency.
