World Premiere from Kiesel at bauma 2025
At bauma 2025, Kiesel will showcase the KTEG 63US-6, one of the smallest short tail excavators in its class, and the KTEG 375US-7, the largest short tail excavator to date. Additionally, Kiesel will present the infrastructure excavator and the cockpit of the future.
The New KTEG Short Tail Excavators
“When we launched the KTEG 375US-7, we didn’t expect such high demand,” explains Maximilian Schmidt, Managing Director at Kiesel. “The combination of compactness, performance, and intelligent hydraulics perfectly meets the industry´s needs.”
This machine sets new standards in the 35-ton segment. With a swing radius of just two meters and a total swing range of less than 5.5 meters, it operates where other excavators reach their limits. At the same time, it delivers 680 l/min of hydraulic flow, providing enough power even for the most demanding attachments.
The KTEG 63US-6 was developed from a completely different perspective: Engineers transferred the concept of a larger hydraulic excavator to a compact machine. The result: a short yet powerful 6.5-ton machine that excels with high lifting capacities of over 2.5 tons. The boom, positioned laterally next to the cab, ensures an optimal view of the work area.
Both machines can be equipped with the KTEG P-Line – a system consisting of a multi-tool carrier, rotational quick coupler, optimized attachments, and digital assistance systems.

The Cockpit of the Future
With the “Cockpit of the Future,” KTEG offers a machine control concept that takes machine operation to a whole new level. The focus is on the state-of- the-art “one-screen-solution” CPXOne, which consolidates all essential machine and construction site data (including third-party systems) in real time. This is complemented by two highly customizable high-spec joysticks, which not only control the excavator itself but also allow full operation of the entire display – a world first in this form.
“Machine operators face increasingly complex tasks on construction sites. That’s why they deserve a cockpit that makes their work easier, more efficient, and more comfortable,” emphasizes Schmidt. “Our high-spec joystick is fully customizable. Every operator can tailor the controls exactly to their preferences.” Kiesel invites visitors to experience the cockpit of the future live at bauma.
The Infrastructure Excavator of the Future
Equipped with the Cockpit of the Future, specialized sensor technology, and machine control, the Infrastructure Excavator of the Future will be fully connected, highly precise, and ensure seamless workflows. In collaboration with Makineo, specialists in machine control, a comprehensive concept has been developed to demonstrate how automated documentation, smart controls, and digital data collection are set to revolutionize the industry.
“We’re not just talking about a machine – we’re talking about an entirely new system for infrastructure projects,” explains Maximilian Schmidt. “Our infrastructure excavator enables real-time digital data collection, fully automated work progress documentation, and seamless integration into existing planning processes.” This level of precision is particularly crucial in sensitive areas such as high-voltage cable installation or fiber-optic infrastructure.
Networking at bauma
The exhibition area of KTEG, Kiesel, Makineo, and Hitachi will become an interactive space showcasing the modern construction site. World premieres, live demonstrations, and a tour presenting solutions for specialists in foundation engineering, demolition, material handling, and recycling will be featured. At booth FN.717 (outdoor area North), high-tech meets hospitality: a traditional Weißwurst breakfast in the lounge, in-depth discussions with 150 experts, and exclusive VIP evening events.
