HR 6040 R / HR 8040 R: increase work output safely!

The new foldable power harrows HR 6040R and HR 8040 R (respective working widths of 6 and 8m) are primarily aimed at all contractors and large crop farms looking to obtain high productivity and seeking solutions to achieve seedbeds efficiently and safely, independently from the nature of the soils whether for deep or shallow preparations, in spring or autumn, in dry or wet conditions.

The new design of these « large width » power harrows meet high criteria in terms of reliability and productivity, in order to match the most stringent requirements.

These 2 models are fitted as standard with a monitoring unit. Installed in the cabin, it will inform the driver if a torque limiter or oil temperature device is activated in one of the machine’s 3 gearboxes.

Also, for a peaceful work, in the most intensive conditions, every effort has been made to provide maximum reliability. All components (central and side gearboxes with oil circulation system, casing, rotor drive, hitch, transmissions,…) as well as the drive chain of the HR 6040 R and HR 8040 R have been developed so that they can be driven by tractors respectively of up to 460hp and 500hp.

The very high work output (which can reach 100 ha prepared in one day) is not just linked to the substantial working width of these new power harrows HR 6040R and HR 8040R. The machine’s adaptation to the different soil conditions has also been made much easier, thus contributing actively to optimizing output and seedbed quality. In particular with the in-cab hydraulic working depth and levelling bar adjustments.

No compromise on the quality of the seedbed preparation, the essentials remain:

• 3.5 rotors/m, the ideal solution for work in stony conditions as well as in large quantities of residues: no more stone piles on headlands.

• A levelling bar indexed to the roller for customized crumbling and fast settings, independent of the working depth.

• An adjustable rotor speed of up to 500 rpm for efficient crumbling even in very dry clayey soils.

• A large range of equipment, track eradicators, rollers… to adapt to any conditions.

The HR 6040 R and HR 8040 R complete KUHN’s range of power harrows which now features working widths from 1.2m to 8m, for tractors from 80h to 500hp.
