Reduced wheel loader effort and material conservation thanks to optimised logistics
Optimisation of bulk material logistics at recycling sites and in raw material processing: MESDA Germany presents the B209 Mobile Stacker, a flexible solution for material handling. The system maximises storage capacity on existing space and reduces operating costs thanks to an energy-efficient drive concept. It also solves the problem of limited drop heights and time-consuming material movements by wheel loaders.
While conveyor belts integrated into crushing and screening plants often only reach a discharge height of around three metres, the MESDA B209 Mobile Stacker enables heights of approximately eight metres. As storage capacity grows exponentially with the height of the stockpile, users can store significantly more material on the same floor space. “Operators of processing plants want to concentrate on their core processes and not on constantly moving stockpiles,” says Enrico Kallmeyer, Managing Director of MESDA Germany. “With the B209, they can stack materials directly at a great height and store them until loading. This minimises the use of wheel loaders, reduces personnel costs and at the same time protects the material by preventing abrasion and breakage.”
Robust, mobile and efficient
The heart of the B209 is its energy-efficient and flexible drive concept. The system can be operated independently via its own 55 kW diesel engine (EU Stage V). Alternatively, the Mobile Stacker can be connected to the power generator of an upstream MESDA machine, such as a screening plant, via a plug-in connection. This dual-power option is the key to significant cost savings. Connecting it to another MESDA system reduces diesel consumption by up to 80 percent. This not only significantly lowers operating costs, but also reduces the carbon footprint. “It is a future-proof investment and gives our customers a clear competitive advantage thanks to its flexibility,” says Kallmeyer.
The B209 Mobile Stacker is designed for demanding everyday use. A robust frame structure and a stable transfer box ensure a long service life. With a conveying capacity of up to 400 tonnes per hour and variable discharge heights, the system is extremely versatile. Thanks to its compact transport dimensions of approximately 12 x 2.1 x 2.5 metres and excellent manoeuvrability on caterpillar tracks, the Mobile Stacker can be loaded quickly, is easy to transport and can be ready for operation at the site of use in no time at all.
