MESDA Germany presents the B210F low-level feeding unit, an innovative solution for the cost-efficient and material-friendly storage of bulk materials. The low feeder optimises space utilisation and increases production efficiency by avoiding the disadvantages of conventional methods such as wheel loader use.
“When handling bulk materials, efficient use of space is crucial for the economic efficiency of the operation,” says Enrico Kallmeyer, Managing Director of MESDA Germany. Especially in roofed storage areas, the available space must be used optimally, which is usually achieved by building high stockpiles. However, when loading with a wheel loader, the drop height is limited. In order to pile higher, the wheel loader has to drive onto the material already stored. “This leads to abrasion, breakage and contamination of the material – a significant disadvantage for sensitive goods such as coal or special grain sizes,” says Kallmeyer.

This is exactly where the MESDA low feeder B210F comes in: the solution enables stockpiles of up to eight metres in height to be formed, thereby significantly increasing storage capacity on the same floor space. The low feeder gently conveys the material via its 20-metre-long main conveyor belt without machines having to drive over the bulk material. Its three-sided feed unit has a capacity of around eight cubic metres and achieves a throughput of up to 500 tonnes per hour. The multi-adjustable stockpiling angle (6 to 23 degrees) allows the stockpile height to be flexibly adapted to the conditions at the site. This ensures volume-optimised and high-quality material storage.

The B210F is designed for maximum flexibility in use: the machine has an efficient diesel-hydraulic drive system with a dual-power option. It can be operated independently via the on-board 55 kW diesel engine (EU Stage V) or, alternatively, emission-free via an external power source. ‘Thanks to these flexible drive options, the low feeder is an economical and environmentally friendly solution for the future,’ emphasises Kallmeyer. With compact transport dimensions of around 12 x 2.5 x 3 metres and a weight of 22 to 26 tonnes, the B210F is easy to transport. The quick-folding main conveyor belt ensures short set-up times and facilitates use in different locations. An optional remote control further increases operating comfort and safety in daily operation.
