New Ideas for Cutting and Milling Attachments

Confirming its reputation as an innovator in the design of specialist attachments for excavators, skid steer and backhoe loaders, KEMROC has new product ranges as well as additional machines and systems to exhibit at bauma 2019 in Munich. For construction, demolition and mining companies, attachments from the German manufacturer based in Thuringia are designed to increase productivity and utilisation of their carrier equipment.

KEMROC is a German manufacturer based in Hämbach, Thuringia that has over 15 years’ experience designing strong, powerful rock cutting attachments for excavators, backhoes and skid steer loaders. At bauma 2019 in Munich, KEMROC will provide visitors working in various sectors of demolition, construction and mining companies with an exciting display of their range products and expertise.

“Revolution of Cutting” – in line with this catchy slogan, KEMROC has expanded its product range significantly. The centre piece on their stand number FN.1019/5 will be a particularly striking exhibit, a new mixing attachment to produce in-situ soil/cement structures. The massive, 5 m long KEMROC Schönberger Injector (KSI) attachment for middle sized excavators was designed in co-operation with Schönberger Bau GmbH as part of their process for creating soil / cement structures in ground consolidation projects.

Another new product on display will be the KEMROC EK 110 chain cutter. As other chain cutters in the EK range, there is a chain fitted with tungsten carbide picks that runs between the two outer cutter drums. This eliminates the need for the sideways movements required for standard drum cutters to remove the material in the space between the two cutter drums. The EK 110 (100 kW power rating) fills the gap between the existing models EK 100 (100 kW) and EK 140 (140 kW). It has 25 % more power than the smaller model in the range and is used for trenching in rock with a compressive strength up to 80 MPa.

A new model has also been added to the KEMROC range of multi-purpose milling attachments. The new ES 110 HD is designed for use on excavators in the 20 to 40-ton range. Depending on the compressive strength of the material, the attachment can be fitted with a wheel to cut slots to a depth of 1 m or a drum with a 1 m cutting width. Typical applications for this product can be found in civil engineering, tunnelling, foundation work and constructing or renovating embankments.

Another completely new KEMROC product on display at bauma 2019 in Munich will be the first model in the KDS range of diamond tipped cutting wheels. The KDS 30 is designed for use on 5 to 10-t excavators and opens new applications for this range of midi excavators. They can be used for demolition or dismantling work in cramped locations for example. Two larger models, the KDS 40 and KDS 50 are planned for release later in 2019.

Finally, the KEMROC bauma stand will also feature the new KST range of compact stump grinders. On display will be the first model to be released in the range, the KST 20 for use on 2 to 4-t excavators.
