Both companies have enjoyed great success for decades in the road building and civil engineering, garden and landscaping, and structural engineering fields. By distributing the ALMI products through the established worldwide distribution channels of Probst, ALMI will be able to focus even more strongly on production and development.

Since the ALMI block cutters have already been part of the Probst product portfolio for over 30 years, Probst already has extensive "ALMI know-how". The shared core values of the companies are an ideal basis for a successful partnership. Both owner-managed companies are distinguished by their quality, innovation, reliability and an broad service offering including an extensive spare parts service.

Training of the Probst field staff took place on site at ALMI in early July. The goal of this event was to exchange information and to get to know one another better in person.

New models

To launch their future partnership, Probst and ALMI are presenting the proven block cutters with a new face: The surface is electroplated and a thick passivation layer is applied. The Probst customers are already familiar with this durable surface on a lot of other Probst site equipment. It is virtually indestructible, so the products always look good and don't have any scratched or rusted surfaces. Of course the painted models will continue to be available as well.

Emission-free operation

The ALMI block cutters separates the slabs and stones cleanly without dust, noise or dirty water. No particulate matter emissions which are harmful to health are produced. So both workers and the environment are protected.

Enormous splitting force

One of the major advantages of the "Probst by Almi" hydraulic block cutters is the enormous splitting force of 14 – 40t. The pressure is distributed evenly over the separation plane, so that an optimal break is created without physical exertion. This also convinced the employer's liability insurance association for the construction industry (BG Bau), which lists the hydraulic block cutter on its website as an ergonomic product.

Compellingly cost-effective

Unlike the diamond wheels which are subject to wear, the block cutters have no operating costs due to tool wear over an astoundingly long service life - 20 years are not unusual. Setup times, water and energy costs are eliminated, and there is also no risk of downtime due to frost, for example. The stones are cut dry and can be used immediately.

The two companies will also underscore their close cooperation at BAUMA 2016. The "ALMI products" will be presented at the Probst booth.
