Joseph Vögele AG, part of the Wirtgen Group, has introduced its first fully-electric compact paver, the SUPER 1300-5e, alongside two battery-powered models, the MINI 500e and MINI 502e, at the bauma 2025 event. These new pavers focus on zero operating emissions and low noise, making them suitable for urban and sensitive construction environments. The SUPER 1300-5e features a 126 kWh liquid-cooled Li-ion battery and offers pave widths from 1.8m to 4.2m. The MINI models will offer two battery options, with capacities of 15 kWh and 22 kWh, allowing up to two days of use without recharging. These machines are designed to meet increasing environmental and regulatory standards, offering options for easy charging from standard and rapid charging stations. Read more >>

Zeppelin and Caterpillar presented the Cat 320 Electric, the first fully electric crawler excavator in the 25.6-ton class, at bauma. Based on the diesel-powered Cat 320, the machine features a 750-volt battery with a capacity of 387 kWh, providing up to eight hours of operating time. The electric excavator is particularly suitable for use in quarries and urban construction projects where emissions and noise must be minimized. Innovative technologies, such as 2D machine control and lift and swing limitation, both performance and operational safety are significantly enhanced. The excavator is available for lease/rental, including a full-service contract, to keep maintenance and operating costs low.

Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH is presenting the new generation of the Cat M323 road-rail excavator at the International Exhibition for Track Technology (iaf) in Münster, Germany, featuring various drive systems, including conventional drive, combined drive, and hydrostatic rail wheel drive. These models are available in different rear-end configurations to meet the diverse requirements of track construction. In addition to the technical innovations, driver comfort and the safety concept have also been significantly enhanced. The high demand at bauma 2025, along with the continued demand for the latest developments in Cat road-rail technology sector demonstrate the success of this expansion of the product range, said Jörg Saake, Sales Manager for Road-Rail Technology at Zeppelin.

MEILLER presented the TECTRIS AK 18 at bauma 2025, a skip loader specifically designed for use in the construction and recycling sector. With a rated load of up to 18 tons and a generous boom reach, the AK 18 is ideal for transporting bulky materials such as construction debris and concrete. The skip loader impresses with high load capacity, short turnaround times, and flexible operation that works on construction sites, in yards, and in confined urban areas. MEILLER places particular emphasis on safety features and efficiency: The i.s.a.r.-control 3 radio remote system enables intuitive operation, while the optional tarpaulin system secures the container in just 20 seconds. The elimination of an additional subframe reduces weight and maximizes payload. Thanks to cathodic dip coating and robust components, the AK 18 offers long service life, and a wide range of services ensures the availability of spare parts.
